Hidden Truth

Chapter 5: Katherine

After hearing the stories of Watson, I felt that chill down my spine again. I'm certain Katherine wanted to tell me something about the mansion, to save her from some hell that I have yet to discover before it is too late. 

Although I was afraid of the nightmares before, I'm now ready to face Katherine in my dreams if she appear again. I will get hold of what is going on in this mansion and do everything I can to prevent the worst to happen. After the usual dramas and doing homework at night, I went to bed faster than any other time I usually do just to have my dream quick. I hope it would not disappoint me. 

"So you have finally decide to save me? Omega." someone whispered into my eyes when I closed my eyes. 

I promised myself not to be scared, but I still could not help but shivered under my blanket. I knew she was coming towards me now, I could even heard those clear footsteps towards my bed. The moment when I tried to open my eyes, I realized I could not move my body, not even my eyelids. I found myself in the basement of the mansion again, but this times someone else was standing behind me. I told myself that this is my dream, and she would not dare to hurt me unless she does not want my help. 

Indeed, I was correct about this. I slowly turned my head back and saw Katherine. Finally. She was still holding on to that bloody knife in her white gown dirtied by blood splatters. However, this time, she did not stab me but started to walk towards me while murmuring. I did not catch what she was trying to say. When she finally stopped in front of me, I was stoned for a moment. 

"Hi Omega. I'm Katherine, and now you will have to save me." Her way of greeting was unexpected to me. Before I could react, she spoke again in a cold tone:

"The evil presence is here in this mansion. It is your turn now. The demon will come after you. It has been here for too long and is getting stronger and stronger year by year. I am not here to scare you away, I just hope that you can save me from being trapped here. In return, I will help you to get away with the hell you soon will experienced. Including your family. Are you ready to accept my proposal?" 

The demon is here in this mansion. I knew it when I saw the photograph. That feeling was so uncomfortable, real and horrifying. The fear was real. I need to do something before it was too late. I must save my family. I must stop the demon from getting its way into our fear. 

"Let's work this together, Katherine. Deal." I shook her hand while feeling her icy hand around mine. This was real. The secret of the mansion would be discovered bits by bits soon as we work our way through to stop the demon from getting us. 

Katherine had a smile on her face when she left. This time, she left a note with some words on it: Madam Eve Bones. I believe this lady could help in some way. When I woke up, the note was crumbled in my hand, with a drop of blood on it. I am gonna start my journey without even knowing the horror that I will have to overcome on the way to knowing the truth. I know I will not be able to escape this anymore.
