Sibling Rivalry

Chapter 1

Chloe's POV

As we returned home.

We saw them.

Running down the drive, away from our house.

Blood was flooding continuously in a sustained line as they struggled with the I identified objects making it hard for us to make out what was happening before us.

We ran frantically towards them as they rapidly chucked the structures carelessly into the trunk of their black transit.

We didn't have a chance in catching them. With all the breath we could gather we still didn't manage to catch them.

However what we didn't know was, what they had stolen would change our lives forever!

With curiosity me and my elder brother Tyler made our way towards the beaten house. I slow as I see the same trail of blood as earlier, lead all the way up the drive to the open doorway.

Frightened of what was inside, I beckoned Tyler to go first, but felt irresponsible making him do so.

Before we enter I grab Tyler by the shoulder. He turns to look at me. I can see the worry in his eyes.

"I love you" I speak and give him a reassuring hug from behind as he turns to take a step inside. I bump into Tyler, as a result of him stopping unexpectedly in front of me.

We enter the kitchen suddenly to be accompanied by an frightening BANG!

I run to the door that we had entered through just seconds ago, only to discover it locked.

Trapped in a house, trailed with blood and not a person in sight. I jump to Tyler's arms and cling tightly. He seems taken back by my sudden actions before I loosen my grip slightly.

He clears his throat.

"Are you okay?" I ask with a worried tone as I turn to look at him.

"Yeah fine" he replies cautiously.

"Do you need some water?" I offer, starting to walk towards the kitchen sink.

"Why, what do you mean" he stops me.

"Your throat, is it okay?"

"Wasn't that you that coughed?"

"No"

It must have been him that coughed, who else would it have been?

"Well if it wasn't me and it want you then who was it?"
