CLYDE

We arrive at my uncle's place.

"God, you're a rich kid." The guy rolls his eyes,

"Huh? How?" I ask,

"You kidding me?! You're freaking wearing a suit!" He exclaims.

"Yeah, so? Everyone's like that. You and your insane friend are the weird ones." I roll my eyes.

"Wow, you are pretty darn retarded. What would John want with you?" He wondered.

"What do you mean?" I ask him.

"Well, Mr. Wall Street, people are starving on the streets. It's been a week since I've been fed and 113 days since I've had a drink of legit clean water. You are living a fantasy." He says.

"It's really like that? Wow, they weren't kidding." I say.

"I just wanna go back to my friends. Let's go." He says,

We head into the building. The guards escort us into a room with my uncle in it. He's wearing a suit as always. He seems rather worried.

"Yes, Uncle?" I ask him,

"Clyde, please sit down." He tells me, gesturing his hand to an office chair.

"What is it? I'm rather not pleased with the method of getting here." I say, sitting down

"Yes, sorry, at least I sent my best." He says,

"Best?!" I sneer, "That girl was insane."

"Accidents happen. Anyways, I have news for you." He says,

"What?" I shift my position.

"Remember my project?" He asks, I remember.

"Yeah? The one where you give them powers, right?" I snap my fingers,

"Yes, that girl was one of them." He says,

"Oh, okay. That explains that." I say,

"Yes, one of them had died recently. Fortunately, we received the body right away. We need to store the secret in somebody else's head." He says,

"What're you saying?" I knit my eyebrows, he leans forward

"Well, Clyde, how would you like to join them?"

INSANITY

I walk back home, knowing I've failed my mission.

"Hey, girl, you don't deserve to live out on the streets like this, you can come to my place-" A guy grabs my shoulder.

"Sir, if you like your hand, I insist you keep it to yourself." I say firmly, shoving his hand off.

"And where do you think you're going?!" He grabs me by the waist and covers my mouth to keep me from screaming.

I bite his hand, he howls in pain, grabbing his red hand. He drops me.I punch his mouth, it bleeds, he swings his fist at my stomach and I back away, stunned. He runs at me, I grab his legs which makes him fall. I kick at his head and he passes out, bloody and unconscious. I run back to the building. Des is asleep and Dark is keeping guard. He smiles when he sees me.

"Hey, Insane! Where's Tray?" He asks,

"Taking care of my mission. Wake Des up. I brought food." I smirk, putting down my bag while his eyes widen.

"Des! Wake up!" He shakes her. She shifts her position.

"Whatttt....." She moans, covering her eyes with her hand.

"Food." I smile,

"Oh my Gosh. Let's eat!" She shouts happily, I cover her mouth my hand.

"The Scouts might hear you!" I whisper-shout.

"I'm sorry, where's the food?" She pouts,

"Here." I hand her some fruit and slices of bread. She noms it happily.

We continue devouring our food until we hear footsteps going up the stairs.

"Scouts!" I mouth.

I signal them to separate and hide. I hide beside the entrance.

"Is it clear?" A low, raspy voice whispers,

"Probably not. There's an ongoing fire and fresh food and water." A female voice whispers.

The water bottle falls over, spilling its contents onto the filthy, cement floor. I look at Des, who's in a shadowy corner and Dark, who's not too nearby. I nod. The water heads towards me quietly so the two Scouts don't pay attention. I form two icicles. Des makes the ground rise, clamping their body parts and mouths so they don't move or scream. She left one part unguarded, though, the back. I send my icicles to stab them. Once they were limp and dead, Dark grabbed a walkie talkie that the man dropped.

"Clear."
