Sitting alone in the padded room does not seem very amusing, but to her, it is comedy gold.

She laughs.

The sound of it varies. Some days, it's a light, giggly laugh. Like she's laughing at something someone had said.

Other times it's deep, almost like a male. It's a strong, hearty laugh that goes on forever until she's blue.

There's one last laugh that she has. It's rare to hear, and everyone is grateful. Oh, they are so grateful. The laughter is mad. It shrieking, crying and wailing. It's like a banshee and it slowly drives the unlucky victim insane.

We've lost countless people to that terrifying laugh. They always end up in a room just like hers.

We don't ask why she laughs, but she sees the questions, the emotions in our eyes.

Even then, her answer is sharp laughter.

No matter what we do

She will still be laughing.
