From phones to face (nash grier fanfic)

The first appointment

It was the day of our first scan,

9:48am.

Nash's mom was meant to be meeting us here at 10am but Nash was sort of pissed that I invited her to the first scan.

"Why did you have to invite my mom?" He asked

"Because it's her grandchild and she's gonna be a part of his or hers life!" I replied

"Yeah but this is the first scan. It's our baby not my moms, this is meant to be a day for us" he said looking upset

"I'm sorry, she will stay out of the way I'm sure" I said and hugged him

Nash's mom knocked on the door, I grabbed my phone and purse and we went out of the hotel getting into Nash's moms car and she drove us.

"Listen I really do appreciate you inviting me. I am so excited! Will doesn't seem to be wanting any children soon so this little one will be the first grandchild! I'm gonna stay out

Of your way today so you can see the baby together but I'll just sit and shut up" she laughed

"Thankyou" I giggled

We pulled up to the hospital and Nash opened my door for me, helping me get out.

We got to the reception desk

"We have an appointment with dr.barker for 10am?" Nash said holding my hand

"Ah-yes I just need Lydia to answer a few questions

"Okay" I smiled

"Age?" She asked

"17"

"How far along?"

"Just over a month"

"Have you either had a cigarette or an alcoholic drink when you've been pregnant?"

"Nope" I smiled

"Great just go through those doors and it's the 2nd door on the right"

"Thanks"

We walked up the corridor and Nash held open the door for me and his mom.

"Your name is Lydia Murray correct?" The doctor asked

"Yep" I said

"Okay, I'm going to take your blood pressure, a little bit of your blood and we will need you to do a urine test before you have your scan" she smiled

*after the tests we're done*

"Okay, so your very healthy, everything seems to be working very well and I don't have any concern for the baby's or your health. Just keep doing what your doing and the baby will be healthy."

I was happy and so was Nash.

"Come and lie down on the bed so we can do your scan, just lift your shirt up so I can scan your tummy" she said.

Nash sat next to me holding my hand while the doctor was on the other side and Lizzy was at my feet.

"This will be cold" she said and I giggled as she put a gel type liquid on my little bump

"So, are you the father of this baby?" She asked looking at Nash

"Yep" he said proudly with his other hand on my belly

"Your a very brave young man, most boys would run if they found out they had a kid, you should be very proud" she said

"Thankyou" he replied, his smile beaming

"You ready?" She asked

I looked at Nash who looked at me, he nodded and squeezed my hand

"Yeah" I said nervously

I was gripping onto Nash's hand as she put the white instrument on my stomach, she started moving it around

"There we go" she said smiling

Nash looked so happy! He didn't take his eyes off the screen but his smile faded when the doctor spoke again

"Hold on" she said

"What?! Is it okay? What's wrong?" He started freaking out

"Hey Nash calm down babe it's fine" I took his hands and pecked his lips

"It's okay" I said and gave him a smile, he smiled back but his hands we're shaking

The doctor was still frowning at the screen.

"Is everything okay?" I said

"Give me a minute I'm just gonna go get another doctor to have a look at this" she said calmly and walked out

Nash started to freak out again but I soon calmed him down.

She walked back into the room with a doctor.

They put the while thing onto my stomach and started moving it around again

"Yeah your right dr.barker" the man said

"Okay thankyou dr.evans" she said as he walked out

"Okay I'm sorry about that I just wanted to make sure I was right. Nothing is wrong so don't panic" she said

Nash and I let out a sigh of relief.

"I thought I saw 2 babies" she started and nash's eyes almost popped out of his head

"But it's fine there's only 1 so calm down" she laughed

"Do you wanna hear the heartbeat?" She asked

"Yeeeeaaaahhh!" Nash basically screamed

She moved another flat thing around my stomach and stopped when we could hear the faint sound of our baby's heart

I was looking at Nash and his eyes welled up "I love you" he said and hugged me leaving me laughing and Lizzy and the doctor saying "Awww"
