-Sorry it took you guys this long! Thanks for staying with me! Yay!-
"Grady..." Sophie started. "Give that back to me!" She started to run down the flower covered stairs and made a grab for the scroll. Grady just lifted it higher above her head. He started to read, and gasped.
"Edaline! Come here! You might want to see this." Edaline walked over to the mess and carefully separated the two. She took the scroll and started to read. Sophie wanted to stop them, but she was too embarrassed to make a sound.
"Oh my," Edaline whispered loudly. "Why, aren't you a lucky one." She conjured the scroll to the wooden dining table with a snap of her fingers and wrapped Sophie up in a hug before she could run towards it. "Aren't you happy?" She was laughing now, since she could feel the heat all over Sophie's neck.
"No! I mean, yes! I'm not sure yet!" Sophie was stumbling over her words now. She didn't know what to say. "I still don't know what it means!"
"It means," Grady said, "That Boy is no-" Edaline interrupted him and said, "It means it's time for you to go on a date!" Sophie was startled. "WHAT?"
"You got it all wrong," Grady argued. "He's supposed to ask first."
"Then let's give him some encouragement!" Edaline smiled and lifted Sophie up to her feet. No, please don't." Sophie meant to say it commanding, but instead it came out weak. Why were parents so embarrassing? She would need a better argument. And fast.
As her parents were nearing the front door, Sophie shouted, "Wait! I need to um, talk to you!" Edaline grabbed Grady's arm before he unlocked the door. She whispered something in his year. He nodded.
Sophia wondered what they were talking about. When they walked over, her curiosity took over and she silently slipped into their minds. She gasped.
"Why would you ever, ever even think about setting something up like that?" She scolded Grady and Edaline while they were laughing. "It was only a thought!" Edaline laughed, raising her hands up innocently.
"I bet you could never make him come on his own." Sophie said defensively, feeling a bit of courage come back to her. "You're on." Her parents agreed.
"Well, you just made an impossible deal." Sophie said. "There's no way-"
The doorbell ringed.
Author Note(?)- Sorry it took so long guys! I may have kind of forgot about this um, love story. But don't worry, I'll (try) to update! I may not though, since this is kind of old.
In writing, anything can happen if you want it to. Write about anything(that's appropriate) and everything! You can make the plot twists, you can make the tables turn. I encourage you, go write a story!
Ha, I said I'll update. But when? Is that long enough for this cliffhanger to um... stay fresh? Man, I need better sayings. Slogans? Help me world.
Bye!
