Rule number 4: 'If a girl falls into the following criteria, she is off limits forever until the end of time: A. Was a bro's ex-girlfriend. B. Your bro specifically told you he wanted her. C. Is your bro's sister.' Eliza O'Conner happened to be all three. Nick Maguire, the king player of East High, knew better than to fall in love. So then what was he doing with the sister of his best-friend? And how far would he go to keep it a secret?

I chatted to him about his book and he seems pretty sound to.Here is how the interview went.

Me: Q1.did you ever expect your book to get this far?

joecool123:To be perfectly honest.... no. I still remember how my jaw dropped the first time "The Bro Code" ranked in the top fifteen because I was like 'wait. hang on. that's the first page of the what's hot list. holy bleeping bleep.' and then it just kept getting higher and higher and then my story completely blew up. That whole week was unreal.

Me:You must have been very happy.Q2.What gave you the idea for the book?

joecool123:Yeah it was cool because I didn't expect it at all. I still don't really know how all of that happened.

Haha when people ask me that I always feel a little but guilty because I kind of just thought of it. I wasn't really inspired by anything. I think I got it from a conversation I had with one of my friends where we were talking about when it's not okay to ask someone out, and the bestfriend's sister thing came up, and I decided that idea could make a cool story.

Me:Well you were right.Q3.how long have you been on wattpad for?

joecool123:Since the middle of February 2012. As of right now that's about three months.

Me:Cool so it didn't take your book long to get big..if you had one wish what would it be?

joecool123:Well I'm not sure how long it takes other authors, but for me it came pretty suddenly.

Well the only thing I need for my life to be complete is a time machine, so I could go back and see the dinosaurs or Justin Timberlake before he got old or something like that. That would be pretty awesome.

Just kidding. JT is not that old. Also that's not what I would wish for. One of my family members has a pretty serious medical condition so I'd probably wish for that to go away. That would be better than seeing the dinosaurs.

Me:Well i hope they get better.Q5.What's your favorit song?(I will put it on the side bar.)

joecool123:Yeah thanks.

It's going on the sidebar? Haha the pressure's on then. Usually my favorite song changes like everyday, but today it's probably "All Star" by Smash Mouth. Also I just watched Shrek so it's kind of stuck in my head.

Me:Lol i love shrek!Q6.Do you have any good advice for your fans?

joecool123:Haha yeah the donkey is hilarious. He's gotta be one of the best characters Pixar has ever created.

Haha like life advice or writing advice?

Me:Writing advice.But if you have any life advice i'm sure they won't mind it.

joecool123:That's good because I don't think I've lived long enough to be handing out life advice. Except don't eat the yellow snow. Never eat the yellow snow.

As far as writing goes, this website is just for fun. So if you're not having fun with your story, you're doing it wrong. Also (and this might seem like a cliche) but write for you. Because as soon as you start writing for someone else the pressure kicks in and you'll run into problems. I can definitely say I've had experience with that.

Me:Thanks I enjoy doing interviews.Q8.Do any wattpad writers inspire you?if so why?

joecool123:There's this one girl on here, she changes her username a lot so I won't create any confusion by typing out what it is, but she has a lot of ideas about life and death and people. She makes me think about things that I don't usually think about so in that sense she's pretty inspirational.

Also the science fiction writers on here inspire me. I've always thought that science fiction is the most creative genre, and it's interesting for me to see what ideas people can come up with about other worlds or unique situations.

Me:

Cool maybe you should write a science fiction novel? Q9.Do you have any hints you would like to give your fans on the next chapter of 'The bro code.'?

joecool123:

That would definitely be a challenge.

Well a writer never tells, but you can definitely expect some difficult situations and some nick/eliza action. Haha yeah, I tried to keep that as vague as I possibly could.

Me:

Haha well we are coming to our last question.Q10.Anything else you would like to say before we finish?

joecool123:

Really? Last question? haha I was waiting for some hard ones.
