(A/N: Happy Birthday Kuroo!!! I started his oneshot two weeks ago but never found motivation to do it, but here it is!)
Declined Calls
Warning: Swearing
---
You stared at how many calls you declined from Kuroo. Chucking bitterly to yourself, you set your phone down. He must be doing something. But you didn't know why he'd do this to you...
~flashback~
You ran through the crowds of people, rushing to a restaurant. You were so excited to see Kuroo, because you've barely been meeting him. He said he was busy with volleyball, but you scheduled a date with him today and he agreed!
But you were late! Ugh, if only you hadn't slept in. You look around, not seeing Kuroo outside. He must've gotten cold and went inside. So, you step into the restaurant and the smell made you smile. The food smelt so tasty...
A waitress welcomed you and asked if you were going to eat alone. You said no and told her that you were going- You saw Kuroo kiss a random woman and immediately corrected yourself, saying you were going to eat alone.
The waitress raised her eyebrow slightly, but politely smiled and gave you a seat. She handed you a menu book and went off. You felt weak, watching Kuroo smile at the woman. His smile... He promised that it was only for you to see. What a liar.
Then he made eye contact with your lifeless ones. His eyes widened a bit and you quickly turned your head away. The woman tilted her head. "Kur-nyachan?" "Oh, sorry. I got a bit distracted..." Kuroo also turned his head away.
Your heart sank. He didn't even bother trying to interact with you. I guess he left you, and all of your love towards him meant nothing.
...
You finished your small meal. You didn't have much food but the new couple had lots. You got up and quickly left, not saying a word to Kuroo. You didn't even look at him as you left, but you were watching Kuroo happily eat with his girlfriend.
Ah, you were going to miss when it was just you and him, but now you had to move on. You came home, and thankfully, you didn't live with Kuroo. You guys were planning to but it should be cancelled now that he cheated on you.
When you changed into your home clothes, you cried on the couch in the living room. You lived alone, so you didn't have anyone who would disturb you... Until you heard loud knocks on your door.
You knew who it was, because there was also Kuroo's loud ass voice outside of the door calling your name desperately. Why was he here? You cried even harder. Dealing with this is so hard...
You didn't answer the door. No matter what you heard or what you said, you didn't show yourself to the man. You just continued to cry quietly. You didn't expect this to happen. Sure, woman flirted with him but all the time he never left you. But now...
Maybe it just wasn't meant to be.
~~~
Your ringtone goes off. You sigh in irritation and decline the call. Then, your ringtone went off again. The same thing repeated for a few minutes now without you looking at your phone. Suddenly, he called you.
You started to cry. You were so frustrated, can't this guy ever know to leave you alone? Angrily, you pick up the call and scream, "KUROO GODDAMN TETSUROU, YOU LITTLE SHIT! STOP FUCKING CALLING ME! DON'T YOU KNOW HOW BROKEN I AM RIGHT NOW? GO BACK TO THAT WOMAN WHO MADE YOU MORE HAPPIER THAN... I.... did..." You started to have a breakdown at the end.
"...(L/N)-chan. I'm comin' over right now." It was Akaashi.
You cried even more. You yelled at Akaashi. You took your anger out on him, yet he is coming over to comfort you. How the hell did this angel come into your life?!
In no time, you heard a knock on your door. Sniffling, you forced yourself to walk to your door. Opening it, you met monotone yet concerned eyes. "A-Akaashi-san..." You sniffled. "(L/N)-chan." He brought himself in and closed the door, picked you up and then put you on the couch.
"I'm here now." He said softly, then leaned down and hugged you. You hugged back tightly, not wanting to let go. Akaashi was always like a brother figure to you, and he would always comfort you. He would even protect you.
From anything.
From Kuroo.You let Akaashi see your phone. He scrolled through your phone history, and damn it was endless scrolling of Kuroo's calls. He looked at you. "Why don't you just block him?"
"I don't know... I just don't want to." You replied, looking down. Even if it hurt you, you didn't block his number. You just... Didn't want to erase your fun memories together in technology and shit.
Akaashi sighed, ran fingers through his raven hair, then closed his eyes. He felt a little angry, because he trusted Bokuto's best friend to date you. But now that trust is gone.
It's better to leave him off with declined calls.
