Trusting

"Chat..." I felt my side, "...Three of my ribs are broken." I couldn't help but feel so small.
"No!" He choked, "No, you're going to be alright!"
                "Chat?" My eyes widened.
                "What?" He asked.
"You didn't need me," I whispered, "You're fixing yourself." He looked down to see...
                 Black boots.
"No, I do need you," He sobbed, "All this time, I've needed you!
"I need you too,"  I whispered, "Which is why I can't let you go." He caressed my cheek and lifted my chin up. Our lips brushed and the next  thing I knew, we pulled each other in to a deep kiss. I opened my eyes and...
"Chat..." I breathed, "...Noir!" He was back!

My kitty had come home.

"I can't be hero without you!" He cried, "So what's the point?"
"My earrings," I whispered, "Take them. You can save Paris on your own."
"Ladybug, listen to me!" He shouted, "It's not about purifying akumas or your Lucky Charm or any of that stuff! It's about you! Even if I took the earrings, god-like powers or no, I still can't do this without you!"
"Why not?"
"I'm not strong enough! I-I'm not- I can't- okay, look. You aren't a disappointment to me no matter who you are. Whether you're an artist who sits in the back, a runner who throws out too many dares, a skater who treasures her family heirloom, a girl who runs the Ladyblog, or a clumsy fashion designer who can always beat anyone at a game of Ultimate Mecha Strike III. I'm just hoping you're that girl who sits behind me in class, because I think she likes me and-
I think I love her too."
And with that, I knew what I had to do. I whispered the command quietly and the Ladybug suit and mask flashed away in a swipe of goldish-red light.
"I guess your wish is granted," I said with a feeble smile.
"Marinette!" He cried, hugging me, (but not too tight, given he knew I had three broken ribs) but it still felt loving, "Princess, I'm so glad it's you."
"And I'm glad it's you, Adrien," I said.
      "How did you-,"
"Nino. Jade Turtle I mean. He knew it didn't really matter anymore and someone ought to know, since we though you were-," I stuttered.
"Hey it's okay," He comforted, "I'm here now! I'm safe. And so are you!" He detranformed, pulled out his phone and called 911.
"We...we've been captured by Hawk Moth," He made up a reason for how we got there and winked at me, "And my friend has three broken ribs. We're in the back room of the megaplex. No I'm not sure where Ladybug and Chat Noir are. Come in the very very back entrance. No! No, there's a giant band of akumas out front. Chat Blanc? Oh no, that was just a story. He's not real. Just please get here quickly! She's dying!" He put away the phone, "Okay, they're on their way. You're going to be okay!"
"I don't know if they'll get here fast enough," I admitted.
"Stop saying that!" He cried, "It's going to be okay," he looked me in the eyes, with the most serious expression I had ever seen on his face, with a mask or not, and said,
"Do you trust me?"
