He handed me a pair of pliers and he told me to pull out his teeth...
Mark stared blankly at Ethan while tears streamed down his face, Ethan crying along with him.
"Fucking do it, Ethan!" Mark spat, Ethan shaking violently as he held the gun that Mark had given to him. "Kill me," Mark broke into sobs, "I deserve to die!" Ethan cried harder as his hands shook, trying to bring himself to point the gun at one of his best friends.
"Mark, I can't, you didn't mean to do it!" Ethan stated as he lowered the gun, taking deep, uneven breaths.
"Fucking hell, give me the gun, Ethan." Mark commanded in tears as he launched himself at Ethan, grabbing the smaller boys wrist.
"Mark, no! You can't do this, there's so many people who need you, especially now that they've lost someone else!" The last bit of the sentence left Ethan's mouth in shaky sobs. Mark fell to the floor and hugged Ethan's legs as he sobbed so hard his entire body moved like an earthquake each time he did. Ethan fell next to him as he pulled Mark back against his chest.
"Ethan, no! Gone..." Mark cried loudly, not caring how loud he was. Ethan cried with him and just held him tight to his chest, running his hand along Mark's hair. "Fucking gone!" Mark screamed.
A Month Earlier...
Jack bounced happily down the stairs of the house he now shared with Mark, Mark trailing behind them as they headed to the park with Chica to meet up with Ethan and Tyler for a meeting.
These two had become inseparable it seemed, like the idea of being parted too long was too painful to even imagine life existing. Mark loved Jack, Jack loved Mark, they got along so well. Their story was unique, and they were now happily married.
After the meeting, Jack and Mark walked with Chica, holding hands happily as they carried on in the mildy-rainy day.
"I love you..." Mark said as he pulled his lover closer, kissing his temple.
"I love you, too." Jack said, squeezing Mark's hand. It was the small gestures like that which had meant so much to the couple, just the little things. "Have you still had nightmares?" Jack asked, turning to a much deeper topic for Mark. Mark cleared his throat uncomfortably,
"Uh, yeah, actually. Just Dark." Jack nodded for him to continue. "I keep having these nightmares that he'll hurt you. Sometimes I wonder if he's actually more than just some fan-made alter ego." Mark said, looking down at the fluffy dog he was walking. "I don't know, I'm just scared. I don't want anything to happen to my baby." Mark said, looking back at his lover with a reassuring smile.
"You promise you'll tell me if something starts going wrong?" Jack asked.
"Yes, baby, I promise," Mark stated with a smile.
Once the couple got home, Mark said he felt tired and had a head ache. Jack went with him up to the bedroom and helped him lay down, then walked out and quickly returned with caffeine of any kind and pain meds. (Caffeine helps get rid of migraines, thanks mom lol)
Jack waited until Mark fell asleep before quietly leaving the room and going to the recording room to edit to pass time. After two hours, he went into the living room and began watching a movie until he heard groaning. "Mark?" Jack yelled up. He heard a thud and hurried up the stairs. "Mark? Love?" Jack opened the door to find Mark rolling on the floor, groaning in pain. Jack quickly rushed to his side and knelt down next to him.
"Mark? Mark, can you hear me?" Jack watched in horror as his eyes began to roll back in his head, his body falling limp. Jack quickly pulled out his phone, and as he was about to dial 911, Mark jolted awake. "Oh my God, Mark, are you okay?" Mark slowly turned to the green haired boy with cold and emotionless eyes before sitting up.
"Get the fuck out of my way." He commanded.
"What? Mark, no, you just-" Mark suddenly grabbed him by the shoulder and threw him into the floor before standing up and walking over the boy. "Mark?"
"Shut the hell up," Mark said, walking away and yelling back, "I don't know how he can stand you."
Jack pushed himself up, holding his shoulder as his heart broke. He stood up and walked down the stairs to see if Mark was feeling okay. Upon walking on the living room, he was pinned to the wall by Mark.
"Let's set some rules in Dark's house: You listen to me and do what o say without hesitation. You call me Master, understand? You wear the clothes I tell you to, if you break any of these rules or disobey you will be punished." Jack simply nodded, trying to process what was happening. Dark let him go before walking out of the house. "I'll be back." He said, slamming the door. Jack sunk down the wall and pieced together everything.
Mark was having nightmares because Dark was warning him and he had the headache because Dark was taking over.
Was he still there? Did he understand his body was being taken over?
Jack walked upstairs to their bedroom, laying on the bed. When he did, he saw the half filled glass he brought Mark, his heart aching for the loss of him. Would he come back? He pulled the thick blanket and comforter over himself, his lungs filled with the scent of Mark. Smelling this, seeing the glass and the picture of the two on his bedside table caused his eyes to burn and he found himself choking on tears. He curled into himself, letting a sob erupt from himself. He wasn't worried about himself as he was Mark, wondering how scared the man must be having no control over his body.
Jack cried and cried until exhaustion settled on his body. He finally snuggled into the blankets, taking another deep breath of Mark's scent before falling into a state of unconsciousness.
