As the night sky shone with stars like diamonds,
She stared deeply as if she were in love
As it faded into day break with light just peaking over the mountains and stars scattered throughout,
She stared until they were gone out of sight
As the sun rose higher and higher and the moon still barely visible,
She stared until the last second
As the second passed and the sun's light burned her eyes and birds sang in the distance, flowers opened again and the world was awake,
She wasn't
As the bright dew frosted world around her broke like a rock through the glass windows of her mind,
She blinked
