befriending the wolf

chapter one

The wolf stood there looking at Zara who hasn't moved and inch scared that the wolf will kill her.Zara had no thought except that she was scared out of her mind. The wolf started to slowly walk toward Zara. Zara started to step backwards then the wolf jumped on her pinning her to the ground,Zara closed her eyes accepting death but it never came. Zara slowly opened her eyes to see the frighting wolf barring its teeth that could in a matter of seconds tear her to shreds but it never did. The wolf looked toward the forest and jumped off of Zara and ran away. Zara laid there in shock of how she was still alive and yet without  even a scratch from the wolf, As Zara laid there her eyes started to get heavy and she drifted off into a deep sleep. A loud horn sound woke up Zara, It was the village warning that the wolf was near by and it was attacking. Zara sat up and looked around she was in the forest, She thought to herself how could she fall asleep in the forest were the wolf was last night and then she remembered how it didn't attack her. She wanted to learn more about the wolf, If the other villagers were to kill the wolf she wouldn't be able to learn more about it. She quickly got up and started running toward the village,then a red flare went off it was a villager telling the rest the location of the wolf. Zara started to pick up the paste on running heading toward the flare. There it was the wolf and the village hunter, The hunter had a gun loaded with silver bullets. Zara had no time to react before the wolf would get shot, The next thing she knew was she was on the ground laying in front of the wolf covered in blood from being shot. Zara had ran in front of the wolf right when the hunter fired his gun and Zara ended up getting shot in her stomach area. The wolf looked down at Zara " go before they kill you...run!!" she told the wolf but the wolf didn't move instead the wolf grew bigger and put Zara on its back then ran towards the forest. The wolf came to a stop and put Zara on the porch of her grandmothers and ran towards the mountains. Grandmother opened the door to see poor Zara laying on the porch bleeding , Grandmother brought  Zara inside and took the bullet out  and stitched up Zara and put her in a change of clothes and put her to bed to rest up and heal. After a week of bed rest Zara was all healed up,She decided to go for a walk in the forest. Zara reached the bottom of the mountain where the wolf lived, She looked up at the mountain and thanked the wolf for taking her to her grandmothers house. Zara turned around to head back to grandmothers for dinner, what she saw standing there surprised her it was the wolf. Zara crouched down and smiled at the wolf, The wolf walked a little closer to Zara. Zara reached her hand out and touched the wolf. The wolf looked u at Zara then started heading up the mountain, The wolf turned around and looked at Zara like it was telling her to follow it, so that's exactly what she did. Zara had been following the wolf for at least two hours now and she was exhausted from walking u the mountain she couldn't walk anymore and she collapsed to the ground. The wolf walked over to Zara and laid down beside her, They took a break and Zara tried to get u but her legs stopped working they were just to sore.The wolf brought its face close to Zara's face and touched her forehead with its nose sending a vision of the wolf carrying Zara on its back. She climbed up on to the wolfs back and the wolf ran up to the very top of the mountain. Zara got off the wolfs back and they entered a cave ,The very cave where the wolf lives. Zara followed the wolf deep into the cave until they reached a door Zara opened the door for the wolf and what the door lead to she wasn't expecting.
