Luna was growing very frustrated and impatient searching by herself for answers. She had felt as if she had looked everywhere already. And without the help of a second-hand, she began losing the slightest bit of hope each new place she looked. But there were no answers.
Deciding that she wanted to take a small break and lie down for a bit, she walked back up the staircase and headed towards her room. However, when she began nearing it, she heard sounds coming from inside. She didn't know how was in there but there was definitely more than one person. And the sounds DEFINITELY did not sound pleasant. She made a face of disgust. Although she wants to burst in and yell at those people in her room, she was also very, very scared to walk in on something very disturbing. So she let it go, backing away from the door slowly still holding up the disgusting face, trying to shake away the dirty thoughts.
For her much needed break, she heads toward the kitchen for a snack. Munching on a Caramel apple, she watches the crowd scramble around the mansion like wolves in peace. She notices red lipstick stains on her apple when she bits and slowly puts it down, self consciously wiping around her mouth. She hears the chuckle of someone so distinguishable coming near her, she doesn't even have to turn around to see them, which makes her roll her eyes.
"Even during Halloween, you still manage to be messy while looking good," Matteo says coming to stand next to her. Luna grabs a napkin to wipe her mouth, but mostly to cover her blush. "What do you want Chico Fresa?" "Who's your partner?" he asks her while grabbing some pretzels. Luna tries to hide the nervous look on her face. "Um, it's Nina. Yeah," He furrows his eyebrows at her. "Really? Where is she then?" He's really causing so much stress to the girl, being an unnecessary pain in the ass. "Uh, she went to the bathroom. Should be back soon," she says as she steals a pretzel from his handful.
"You know there's an entire bowl of them right there, right?" Luna only glares at him boringly, waiting for him to continue. "And second of all, if she's in the bathroom, then why did I see her with Gaston looking everywhere while I was walking over here?" He's clearly won this battle. Luna plants her arms on the countertop leaning forward getting all up in his face. "So, what? She's not my partner then," Matteo only smirks at her, trying to get it out of her. "So admit it then, you don't have a partner,"
Luna is so fed up with him at this point, she doesn't even know why she's still standing there with him anymore. As she's about to leave, he grips her wrist, gently pulling her back to him, there faces closer than before. "So you don't have a partner then..." She blows off steam, taking her time. "No, I don't have one Chico Fresa, there you have it," She tries to leave again, only to be brought back to him, like a retracting wave. "what if I said I don't have on either? Would you be willing to be mine?" Luna shakes her head rolling her eyes. "No, why would I do that?"
"Come on, think about the prize. If you and I win, we could go literally anywhere in the world," he whispers. She gets a sudden chill out of nowhere. Luna does want to win the prize. But does she want it this badly? She thinks about it deeply for a few moments, making Matteo get impatient and frustrated.
"Okay, fine. I'll go and be on your team or whatever," she agrees. Matteo smirks and nods approvingly. "Alrighty, let's go search party," Without any notice or time, he grabs Luna's hand and they run toward the laundry room. There Matteo starts looking through the shelves, confusing Luna. "And your first instinct was to bring me here? You know the whole first level has been scoured already right?" she says. He turns around to look at her. "Please, just look, people miss places you know," She threw her hands up in surrender. "Fine,"
A few minutes later, nothing has been found. "Now what, Elvis?" Luna asks him teasingly. He attempts to curl his lips up just like the singer and it makes Luna giggle. He grabs Luna's hand again and points out the door, "This uh-huh way, Sandy," She laughs as they run up the stairwell together. "Maybe it's in your room," he suggests. Her eyes widen at his words. "No, no, no,! I've checked. It's not there, I swear," Matteo gives her a funny look. "Are you sure? Maybe you missed a- oh," he heard the noises. "His face turned into something lukewarm and Luna reflected it. "Okay, maybe not there," She nodded her head agreeing and they continue down the hallway.
