Prologue

It was night time, the cracked moon shines brightly as you sneaked towards a guard.

You grab your dagger inside your bag, pointing your dagger in his neck.

Blood quickly spurts into your face as soon the blade hits the skin, quickly covering his mouth to avoid noise.

Not long, another life is extinguished.

You removed your arm from his mouth as the other hand reached in your pocket.

A scroll, using it you called your Boss, who's hired you to kill people and in reward, earn lien.

Your mother had no job and was sick, all you can do was become an ruthless, cold and unforgiving mercenary.

"Hey boss, I'm inside this palace..."
You said as you loom at your surroundings, no one seems to be in a place.

"Good, eliminate Anton Sokolov. He's the one that rivals our technology..." said your boss, who is Kirin Jindosh.

"Alright..." hanging up, you closed your scroll and moves on to another room.

Scanning the surroundings, you found
a group of elite guards talking and a wall of light.

The main room where Anton is guarded by that light.

The guards continued their conversation while you eavesdrop, hoping to get information.
"Hey, relax! We're safe inside this wall of light." One of the guards said.
"I know but, but what if someone hijacked our defense?" Said the other anxious guard.

"Hijacked?! You gotta be kidding me" the final guard laughed as he hit the head of his friend slightly.

Gotcha...   Taking the information, you looked around where the main system of the wall of light is.

You saw the system not long after the guards left the room. Sneaking quietly, you opened the hatch of the system. Grabbing your bag for a rewire tool, you placed it silently and let the technology do its work.

Now  you lured the guards to your location by firing your pistol in a whale oil canister, exploding in the process.

"HUH?! WHATS THAT? (probably just the wind or somethin'  :D)

"LETS CHECK IT OUT!" The guards ran where the oil exploded, but they have to pass through the wall of light which was rewired completely, in which they didn't know.

You let a small smirk run across your face as they burned together and turns to ash instantly. Now passing the wall of light, you see Anton Sokolov. Compeletely oblivious to his surroundings.

"Anton..." You said in a bit loud voice, Anton got startled by your sudden voice looked back.

"Oh, Isn't it the great mercenary? How many people you have slaughtered just for your own cause? Do you even know what you're doing?" Said Anton as he started to slowly circle you.

You stayed silent as he chuckles, "Farewell... (Y/N)." He said as your eyes widen before feeling something hitting you in the back of your head, making you go unconscious...

You woke up in a complete darkness. you tried to stand up, But you couldn't see.
"What is this place..." you groaned before suddenly the roof got torn off by an unseen force, you're eyes widening as you saw the pitch black sky and floating whales...

"What th-" before you could finish your sentence, a dark , eerie person appeared before you...

"Your life has taken a turn, has it not (Y/N)?"
