I repeated the words that had been thrown at me for the past 6 years as I sliced my skin with my only source of comfort. I kept cutting myself until I heard my front door slam and my friend Tay, calling my name. "Shit" I mumbled as I began to rapidly clean up my newly formed cuts and threw on a sweatshirt right as Tay opened my bedroom door.
"Kellin! I called you and you didn't answer me. You scared the shit outta me" she said as she began to sit on my beg and instantly shot back up. "Ouch. What was that!?" She scanned my bed until she found what she was looking for and picked it up, raising her eyebrow. Realization flashed across her face and tears began to well up in her eyes. "You said you would stop Kells. You even promised me." She said and sat back down on my bed gripping the razor so hard it even made her begin to bleed. Obviously not caring she cried in her hands. Taking the razor from her I rubbed her back.
"I'm sorry Tay. But do you even know how hard it is to stop when I constantly have people pushing me , and beating me up, calling me names and then I come home to deal with my ass hole of a mother? " I asked. Beginning to cry myself. I hate that I'm hurting her but I have no one else to go to.
"I know it's just.. I can't loose my best friend Kells." She sighed. "Who did it?"
"Who do you think? Jesse and his goddamn wolf pack. " I laid back on my bed and Tay did the same.
"Assholes" she grumbled. Then she smiled and turned to me. "Sooooo.. When are you going to make a move on Vic huh?" I rolled my eyes
"Um.. Never. One, he's not gay and two, he doesn't even acknowledge my presents." Vic was one of the star soccer players at our school that I've had a crush on for over 4 years now. And Tay knew before I did. "Even if I did ask him and he was gay, nothing would happen. He's one of the 'popular' kids at school who cares too much about his reputation. If he came out as gay he would constantly get shit for it." Tay just nodded in understand meant.
"Well if you don't mind me saying if you don't take action soon I will. He is quite a stunner. I mean, have you seen him without a shirt on? Talk about Sex God." I rolled my eyes again and sat up.
"You do mean there's more to a person than just their looks. Hes actually a nice person too and isn't a homophobic ass hole like all the other 'popular' kids."
"Okayy. No need to get all defensive. I get it. " She responded, putting her hands up in defense. "You know what. I'm in the mood for some pizza. Let's go to that new pizza shop near school."
No thanks. I'm not hungry. You can go thought. I'll see you at school tomorrow. " I smiled. As if on cue my stomach grumbled. Tay raised an eyebrow and smirked.
"Yes you are. Now get your skinny ass and let's get some food." groaning I followed her out the door and hopped into her car, not surprised my mom hasn't come home yet. She normally goes out and drinks after work and doesn't get back home till about 2 in the morning. Tay turned on the radio as she pulled out of my driveway and sang along to the music. She honestly had a beautiful voice. She told me that her dream was to one day start a band and I could definitely see that happening. About 5 minutes later we pulled into the pizza shop's parking lot and it was packed. I looked over at Tay and she shrugged and got out the car and headed toward the front door.
"Hello welcome to Luigi's Pizza. We are very full right now but we may be able to seat you if you don't mind sharing a party table?" a short brunette greeted us.
"Sure. That's fine with me." I said as Tay nodded. The waiter led us towards the back of the restaurant and led us to a table full of teenagers. They were all laughing and telling jokes.
"Excuse me. Sorry for interrupting but do you mind if these too shared this table with you?" she asked. Two of them looked up. I recognized both of them. One of them spoke up.
"Yeah. No problem." The boy said with a smile. Jaime I think his name was.
"Here, one of them can sit next to me. " A familiar voice said. I turned and saw Vic smiling up at Tay and I. Tay recognized who it was an pushed me over. My cheeks began to heat up as I made my way over. She smiled at me and walked over to sit next to Jaime.
I sat down next to Vic and he smiled at me.
"Hi. My names Vic." he said offering me his hand. I gladly took it.
"I know" I said. He gave me a weird look and I realized how much of a creep I just sounded like. "OH! I'm sorry. I mean.. I. I mean we go to the same school ad I see you around and stuff so.. yeah." He just laughed.
"I get it. Looks like I have a secret admirer." He said, winking at me. My cheeks heated up once more. he just laughed again. "So, secret admirer. What is your name."
"Kellin" I responded, looking down at the table.
"We'll then Kellin. Would you like some pizza?" I nodded my head and he passed me a plate and put a slice on it.

Me and Vic talked a little more, but he soon had to go, as did I. We exchanged numbers and he said he would look around for me during school.
"Sooooo.... what did you and Vic talk about Kellin? Hmm?" Tay asked poking me in the stomach as she continued to take the route to my house.
"Nothing really. But at least now he knows I exist. " I shrugged.
"Yeah!! One step closer to Kellic!" she screamed.
"Kellic?"
"Yes. It's your ship name. You know. Kellin + Vic = Kellic. I've been working on it for a while now." I rolled my eyes again. "Stop rolling your eyes. One day they're going to get stuck and I'm just going to laugh." We continued to talk about random things until she pulled into my driveway.
"Well, I'll see you tomorrow right?" I asked.
"Of course you will." I smiled and hugged her goodbye as I made my way into my house
