Snow fell softly from a starry night sky, highlighting the shadows that loomed eerily against the trees. Two wolves hid beneath a tall pine tree, rumored to have brushed against clouds. One wolf, black as midnight, and the other a soft gray white. They were on the border of the two different packs they belonged to, secretly meeting every night. But tonight was different.
"How do you suppose we hide this now?!" The black wolf growled softly, staring worriedly into his companion's eyes.
"I don't know" the she-wolf replied, looking down at her paws.
The black wolf turned away and looked up to the stars, his eyes pleading.
"Please, StarPack, if you can hear me, make sure me and Wintercoat's pups are safe"
He turned back to his forbidden mate.
"We have to find them"
