As I was walking to class I stopped at my locker to get some of my books. Then walked to class and sat down in the back of the room. I didn't really pay much attention to what the teacher was talking about and just doodled in my notebook. after all my classes I went to lunch but I didn't get any food. I sat in a corner and drew more.
"Emily!" I looked up and saw Ethan walking toward me with a huge smile on his face. I smiled and waved to him.
"wow em I didn't know you could draw that's amazing!"
I looked down at my picture it was a meadow and some trees with a nice sunset.
"thanks but it's not that good." I said
"what? no, its great I wish I could draw like that." he replied. We sat in a silence for a couple minutes before Ethan talked again.
"Emily, I was wondering if, well, maybe you wanted to, um, come over and, uh, hang out today? after school?"
I looked up at him he was blushing and rubbing the back of his neck.
"I would love to Ethan! that would be great!." I smiled at him and he smiled back at me and then the bell rang signaling the end of the day. We agreed to meet up at his truck. so I walked to my locker put my books away, grabbed my phone and my bag and walked out to his truck.
When I got in the car we put on some music and drove to his house. I was really nervous but I don't know why. I am finally going to have a friend and I'm finally going to belong. I was really happy about this.
