Dan and Phil grew up together, not a day ever went by without them seeing eachother.
Then, they got older and Phil got into bad habits.
"Phil stop doing this" Dan would plead.
Phil would simply tsk, "Dan, your not my mother I don't need to follow your orders." And left Dan to himself.
Their friendship was odd, most days they were the best of friends and others, they were sworn enemies.
Phil often jumped into toxic relationships even after Dan warned him, then they would break up and Phil would come back to his bestfriend, whining apologies and crying softly. It was nothing new for Dan when he was distracted from whatever he was doing almost weekly to see Phil standing in the doorway, tears streaking his face.
Dan always hopes Phil will one day give into Dan's pleas and stop the nonsense because he wants the best for the people he love.
