Chapter 7: Promise

"I thought we've talked about this? You and Jade aren't going to be together!", Simon yelled. I bowed my head down in anger.

"You are going out with Taylor.", he said.

I looked up at him, glaring. "What?!", I snapped.

"You heard me.", Simon said sitting at his plushed chair and crossing his arms.

I glared at him and stand up leaving his office banging the door, loud. It's not like him to interfere in my relationships, but I understand that he's just protecting me and Jade. And that's bullshit.

I made my way to the hospital. I sighed, this will be hard. Real hard.

*Jade's POV*

"So, you and Harry?", Sam asked, I looked at him. His eyes are hooded.

"Yes.", I breathe out and I saw pain flashed through his eyes, but quickly masked it.

"The management. They don't want us together. They say that it will be a huge hindrance on our success.", I explained, though I know that there's no need for explanation, I still explain. Some things are better left unsaid, but not this. Sam needs to know.

"You're not fair, Jade.", Sam bitterly chuckled. I sighed.

"They made me do this.", I said, emphasizing 'this'.

"You made me fall for you.", Sam said, I looked at him, shocked. Speechless.

"I love you, Jade.", he said, holding my hands and I looked up at him. And guilt washed through me, his cheeks are red, eyes bloostained. He's crying.

"Sam. I-", I mutter, trying to utter a complete sentence. But instead, I cupped his face making him look at me.

"You're a good guy, Sam. But, I'm not the right girl for you.", I told him, my eyes holding sympathy and guilt.

He dryly chuckled and shook his head. He stared right through my soul and I stared back. It was a heartbreaking moment for me and Sam, but the doors were burst open and Harry was standing right there, wide eyes.

I retrieve my hands from Sam's hold and from cupping Sam's face. He nodded at Harry and smiled at me before he left the room.

"Jade.", Harry speaks my name as if it's the last time he'll say it. I sighed. This is it.

"It's for the best, Haz.", I said looking away from him and focusing my sight to other things inside this room.

Drama. This scene is real-life, yet it's as if I'm on a fictional drama series.

Harry took a sit beside me and held my hand. I closed my eyes. He's making it hard for both of us.

"I love you, Jade.", he whispered kissing my knuckles. I held the tears that's about to go down and looked at him. He's crying.

"I love you, Haz.", I said and the tears fell down. This is it.

"Goodbye.", we both said and for the last time, we looked into each other's eyes. He love me. I love him. But, this is for the best.

"I'm going to be with Taylor.", he said and more tears fell down. Taylor Swift. She's flawless, perfect. A goddess.

"And I'm still going to be with Sam.", I said and pain flashed through his eyes.

"Promise me it'll still be me at the end.", he said, closing his eyes. I cupped his cheek and kissed him one last time.

"Promise.", I said as we pulled back.

"Promise me it'll still be me too?", I asked.

He looked at me kissing my forehead. "Promise.", he said and our foreheads collide as we smiled, eyes closed and savor the moment.

"I love you.", we both said to each other and he left. But before he left, he mouthed the word that I know I'll always keep and remember until the end.

Promise.
