Monday, the part of the week I hate the most.
Plus, it's the first day of school. I wonder if people will treat me well. But, honestly, I don't really care if they don't. I just have to survive one more year before college—and I'm outta here.I walk towards my cabinet and wonder what outfit I would wear. In the end, I just grab my white oversized t-shirt and shorts that reach my knees. I rush downstairs in my Vans sneakers to kiss my Aunt Grace goodbye. I've been so sweet to my aunt this past few weeks. After all she's done for me, who wouldn't? I grab my bag, and an apple that serves as my breakfast. I don't know why, but I end up vomiting after eating something heavy for breakfast. "Bye Auntie Grace!" I said before rushing to grab my skateboard. "Bye sweetie! Enjoy your fist day!" She shouts from the kitchen. As I exit the door, I make my way to the gate and started skateboarding from there.
Here I am, standing at the front of Norwood High. To be honest, I'm very nervous. What will people think of me? Would I earn friends? Well, there's only one way to find out. I enter the school and make my way to the hallways. As I walk in the middle of crowds of students chatting about how excited they are for the year. Suddenly, everybody just starts staring at me and whispers to the person next to them. Uh-oh! This is what I'm afraid of. Are they starting rumors? They're probably judging me. My heartbeat starts pumping and my hands start to tremble. Well, it doesn't matter, there'll just be 9 months and 29 days left.
I came looking for the register to ask for my schedule. But apparently, the stupid potato I am, I get lost. What?!? It's a big school you know. I tried searching for atleast one student to ask directions from. While walking straight, I accidentally dropped my skateboard and bent down to pick it up. As I stood up, I didn't notice a person approaching—so I bumped into him. "Hey, new girl, watch where you're going!" I hear an unfamiliar voice say, with anger in his tone. I held on my skateboard and settled my eyes on a good looking guy. But sadly, he's so rude for his looks. "What crawled up your ass? I didn't even see you there!" Then suddenly, he had an amused look on his face. "Jerk!" Then I left without any other word and continued searching for the register.
