Everyone around the room stares terrified.
I slam the wooden door and pace around the room.
Josh is -for the first time since the lock down started-actually looking scared.
Cole stares at the wooden door, " we have to get out" cat walks to the door and pulls the broom out "what are you doing are you an idiot!" Cat stares back at josh "yes josh I may seem like one but I'm not an idiot when I say we should leave this room and even this floor of the school!" Josh nods telling her she has a point.

We walk slowly through the hall but our walking becomes jogging Which becomes a sprint for safety except every room we've tried has been locked.
I hear the buzz of the P.A system then an eerie laugh "all the doors are locked" a mangled and scratchy voice states "thanks captain obvious!" Alex screams
"Alex it's not time to joke" I blurt out at him. Despite the situation Alex rolls his eyes and walks back and forth. Cole runs off and i follow-but none of the others do. Cole runs off into a room and I run in but I don't see him anywheres in the room I don't know why but this is one of the only rooms we haven't checked yet and luckily it is unlocked. The room is an old classroom that's now pretty much used for storage. "Cole" I say . I walk around some cheap wood and metal desks to the centre of the room I stare around at storage bins and stacks of papers, but I don't see Cole. The door to the old classroom slams shut and I jump and see Cole.
"Cole!" I shout out though I'm only a few meters away from him.
He locks the door, why would he lock the door?
He keeps his glaze on me but steps to the side.his hands fumbling for something behind him.
He pulls out a metal rod that I remember from a science project in grade 5.
He runs at me with the rod in hand, this is when I realize that he didn't lock the door for safety ,but more so to cause danger.
