The music stopped as my homie Bryson turned around from his laptop.
"How that sound? That's all you getting till my album drop." He laughed.

I was back home in California. The rest of our shows were in here so everything with the tour was smooth.
I rubbed my left hand over my depressed face.

"When is the Release date?"

"It's in two months."

"And that's all you letting me hear is a snippet?"

"Yeah, that's all. Just know my feelings in this album."

"From the snippet I can tell. You tryna get ya girl back."

"That makes two of us." He turned back around spinning in his chair sealing the blunt with his lips.

"Bro, she got back from Jamaica two days ago and I haven't heard NOTHING from this girl, she even changed her code on her gate I can't get in every time i buzz the door she don't answer. I don't think meech told her."

"She shouldn't. You act like you stupid or something..she don't wanna hear the truth from her friend even though it would ease her mind."

"Hell yeah ima talk to her, but later on today. She about to get off work in a few hours-"

"I hope that goes well, when you do, try not to get as angry as she will be, let her cry if she does."

"Crying? I don't want to see her feelings hurt."

"Naaah! You hush. You don't think I know I got to fix this shit. She not talking, she been MIA, when she got back I made a effort, she not budging." I pulled my phone out that was ringing.

"Hello?"

"About time you picked up the phone! Quavo you got famous and don't know how to answer the phone."

"Who's this?" I asked looking at the unknown number.

"You don't remember my voice? Megan-"

"Baxter!?!!" We both said at the same time, Sharing a small laugh. Megan was always my good friend.

"Me and a couple of my girls are in the city where are you? Can we swing by."

"Hell yeah. I'll give you the address.

Alicia

Finally done unpacking, I walked outside grabbing my cell phone and my work phone.  I had just got off work it was going on five thirty in the evening, and it was getting really cloudy. I scrolled through my work phone. Calling my Physician that i worked under.

"Nurse Alicia, I figured you were busy, I was wondering did you take those specimens to the lab."

"Yes ma'am Dr. Price. I dropped it off before I left, also patient Dawn Gregs she needs her X-rays tomorrow when you come into the office."

"Oh goddie, you went and got those orders!"

"Yes ma'am and they are loaded and ready to go. You had one incoming soon as you left, but once I got his fever to break and his back pain to soothe, he was fast asleep." I felt myself getting a smile from Dr . Price.
