Larks grew up as one of the boys, lesbian as they say. Most of her friends are boys but she has one best friend that is a girl. She never liked to wear dresses, or any fancy things that a normal girl would wear. She's terribly good at playing ball games such as basketball, baseball, volleyball, and football.
Larks best friend, Lynch, is so much opposite to her. She loves to go shopping and even buys a dress and make-up for her friend, hoping that her friend would change her taste. She'll do anything to make her friend become a girl totally.
"Larks, I want you to meet someone", said Lynch. "Whoever he is, just send him home", answered Larks. "How'd you know HE is a boy?" she asked. "Like duh, you've been always setting me up with boys, letting me meet whoever those are", blurted Larks. "It's just because I want you to have a boyfriend, someone you will love and will love you back" her friend added. "Sorry but I'm not interested with boys, and thanks to this but I'm returning it back, I don't need it", she said as she hand back the dress her friend gave her.
Lynch invited Larks over their house because they're having a welcome party for her cousin. As usual, Larks used her rugged pants, jersey, and her black cap. As she went to see where her friend is, a pair of eye is intensely starring at her. She felt uncomfortable and tried to look around. She saw a pair of emerald green eye looking towards her. "Yow, who's that guy over there?" she asked her friend. Lynch glanced at who she's talking about and smiled, "come I'll introduce you to him". "Vance, I want you to meet my best friend Larks, and Larks, he is my handsomest cousin ever" Lynch introduced them with each other.
"Nice meeting you Larks, you look beautiful" says Vance with a baritone voice as he extends his hand to Larks.
