You woke up by the knock on the door. You're really tired from yesterday, greeting guests, accepting gifts and dancing the whole night.

Yesterday you had turned eighteen, the palace held a grand ball to celebrate it. The king and his family from the neighboring kingdom was invited to your celebration.

"Wait a minute!" You shouted lazily and got up from your bed. You went to the comfort room to wash your face. As soon as you finished you rushed to the door just to see a young man standing in front of you.

"Good morning, m'lady. It's time for your breakfast." He cheerfully said with a warm smile. It is your first time seeing him in the palace. Who is he?

"Good morning, but may I ask what are you doing here?" You asked him.

"Can I introduce myself later? The king's waiting for you downstairs." He replied. But before you could ask him anything else, he grabbed your hand and pulled you to the hallway.

"Good morning, Your Majesty." You greet your father as soon as you get near him.

"You could greet me in a less formal way." Your father replied with a smile. You then sit down. You know he doesn't like to be called formally when he's with his family.

"I would like to introduce you your new butler. He will be always by your side and protect you." Your father signaled the young man to stand beside him.

"My name is Jaemin, Your Highness." The young man introduced himself. Oh! He must be around my age or older. You thought.

A month had passed since your butler came. He has a nice and warm personality. He is always cheerful yet you found him somewhat mysterious. He told you that he's a year older than you. He also told you that he had just started working to earn income for his family.

"Y/N, you look tired. Do you want to take a break outside?" Jaemin asked you with concern. You half-smiled and nod your head. Taking walk in the garden may help you relieve the stress. You had been busy studying the strategies to strengthen the bonds with the neighboring kingdoms such as, Aurelia and Irelis.

You and Jaemin walked side by side heading through the garden. He pulled a chair for you to sit down.

"Would you like me to bring you a tea?" Jaemin asked you softly. Your heart pounded as he spoke. You shook your head and mouthed 'thank you'. He replied with a smile and stood beside you gazing upon the blue skies. You realized that Jaemin is really handsome. You blushed at the thought.

"Y/N why are you looking at me like that?" Jaemin moved his face in front of you only inches apart. He smiled then added, "Is there something on my handsome face?" He titled his face and you could feel his breath on your cheeks. You could feel the blood rush up to your face.

"Y/N, why are you as red as a tomato?" Jaemin asked teasingly. You moved your head back and looked away. You knew you're starting to feel something for him, you just keep denying it. You hear him laughing.

"Jaemin!" You said and glared at him. He went back to his serious face and stood straight. He stood as if nothing embarrassing happened to you.

"Do you need something, m'lady?" He asked you innocently.
