Nico sobbed under the rain. His mind raced, as tidal waves of all his fears and past memories collided into him. The rain helped comfort him but it didn't effect much.

Everything seemed to be drowned out by the flood of scenes that flashed in his mind and he hadn't noticed a presence looming over him, until the figure kneeled down in front of him and spoke.

"Are you alright?" Nico snapped out of his trance and looked up from his arms, the figure was a man in a well tailored, business suit. Nico shot up to a defensive stance on instinct as his hand held his Stygian Sword's leather handle, prepared to draw it out and lash at his opponent. He stared at the man in front of him as the person stood cautiously. "Easy. I'm not going to harm you." The business man said as he raised his hands in surrender, Nico wasn't convinced as he knew that mortals could see his raven, black sword exposed on his back. He glared at the man as he tightened his grip on his sword's handle.

"I'm not convinced." Nico said with a hint of venom in his words. The man before him stood his ground with his hands still raised in surrender. Nico gritted his teeth together as a thought came to him. "You probably already called the police." Nico thought out loud, he turned the opposite direction to get ready to race out of the cemetery. "Everyone does..." he said before running away, leaving the man watch the young boy leave.

The man spoke into a ear piece. "Batman to Justice League. I located the boy. He's within Gotham City, near the cemetery." He informed into the ear piece as the boy exited the cemetery's gate.

Nico walked on top of the roofs of apartments and buildings, as he used his aviator jacket to try and hide his Stygian Sword as best as possible as he continued on.

-Star City-
"The mission was a waste!" Kid Flash said as he spread his arms to make it more dramatic than it seemed. "We couldn't even find the guy!" He continued to complain as Miss Martian piloted the bio-ship back to Mount Justice.

Robin sighed. "The police that were originally chasing the boy with the sword. They said that he just vanished in an alleyway." Boy Wonder reminded the team. "With a mysterious sword and vanishing act, it might be alien tech, meta-Human experiment or even magic. Anyone know what might connect to this?" Robin asked to his four teammates. Kid Flash groaned in annoyance.

"Please don't let it be evolved with magic." Flash quietly prayed.

Suddenly Red Tornado appeared on screen. The team straightened on their seats, as their attention were towards the screen.

"Team. Batman has informed the League of the boy's location. Head towards Gotham City, that is where he has been spotted." The red robot informed, the screen disapeared as Kid Flash groaned in annoyance as he shouted.

'Seriously!?"

-Gotham City-

Nico sat on the roof of Wayne Industries building, as he gazed down at the busy streets of Gotham below. He sighed, he was hungry and tired. He had no place to sleep or eat anywhere, only able to take short naps within small alleyways.

He sat in peace as the gentle breeze blew on his face and arms. It was nice not being chased by the police for once. His peace was disturbed when his instincs perked up as he felt as if something was behind him, something large.

Nico turned with his sword unsheathed and was within his hand and the other with his aviator jacket. But when he turned there was nothing there. He kept his stance as he felt eyes towards him. He eyed the space in front of him, until a hole appeared like a hatch and his body tensed.

A figure came out, they had green skin with ginger hair. She levitated towards Nico cautiously.

"We're not here to start a fight, but put down your sword." She said, Nico wasn't convinced but played allng and lowered it ever so slightly. He didn't trust this person, or whatever race she was. He took a step back to the edge of the building, he looked over his shoulder to see a huge drop down the Wayne Industrie's building. His heart thumped in his chest. He jumped off many high places but this was the highest building yet. There was no way he could shadow travel this time of day. The time of twilight always struggled for him to do so.

Nico sighed and put his sword away. He walked towards the hovering, green girl. The ginger head smiled welcomingly, but soon her smile faded, when Nico drew his sword and slashed vertically through martian's chest.
