The Battle

Mal's POV

"Mal," Fairy Godmother broke the silence as she placed her hand on my shoulder. "How are we going to beat Maleficent?" She questioned. "I don't know what to do. I feel so useless." I said while clutching my head. Then was when I realised that I can use my magic to defeat her. "I can use my magic right," I asked Fairy Godmother. "Mal, that is very risky. You are not familiarised with your magic." Fairy Godmother said with worries shown in her voice. "Then teach me, please. Don't do it for me. Do it for Aurodon. We do not have much time." I pleaded. "Ok then, I will teach you." Fairy Godmother agreed. I let out a breath which I did not know I was holding. "We will help you too." A group of voices chorused. I turned to see all my friends standing at the entrance of the room. "We still are going to help you no matter how much you disagree with us. We are not letting you do this alone. The villains have hurt our parents too. We are as angry as you are." Ben told surprisingly with confidence. "Kids, we are going to a field trip to the museum. All of your parent's things are in there," Fairy Godmother said as she exits the room. I turned towards my Dad and kissed his forehead before exiting the room.

We were led to the gallery of villains first. There they were, Maleficent's spell book, Evil Queen's magic mirror, Jafar's Snake Staff. They were held in a protective glass box. "Don't let these go to the wrong hands." Fairy Godmother said while lifting the box. I step forward, took the book and flip through it trying to memorise every spell. The others were given their parents things. We head back to the Hospital and learned more of the spells when Chip ran towards us, "Your Majesties, the villains are in the town area. They are going to come here any minute now." "There is not much time left. Let's go." I said running towards the door, the others followed me behind.

No one's POV

"There you are. Aw look, you brought some backup. Sadly no matter what you are going to lose." Maleficent crackled. Mal lit her hand in fire and threw it towards her. Maleficent snapped out of her shock and was back to wearing her signature evil smirk. It was then she waved her scepter in Mal's direction, knocking her to the floor and sending her to the other side of the room, where she hit her head against the wall. She didn't hit her head hard enough to knock her out but it certainly made her a little light-headed. Once Mal was stood in front of Maleficent again she quickly threw two fireballs at the older, evil fairy effectively knocking her to the floor. She threw another fireball at Maleficent but what she hadn't counted on was Maleficent rebounding it, causing it to hit Mal and knock her to the floor.

As Maleficent was distracted by the other young royals, Mal threw some more fireballs at her knocking her off balance once more before moving forward and grabbing her scepter. Smashing it on the ground before Maleficent could attempt to take it back from her. Mal hadn't counted on her regaining her balance as quickly as she did and as she turned to move away from she felt a hand come into contact with her face, hard, knocking her to the floor once again.

"LEAVE HER ALONE!" A voice bellowed which made heads turn towards it. It was Phillip behind him was the other royals. They fled toward the others and attack the villains. As Maleficent was once again distracted, Mal kicked her leg out tripping her up before she crawled away from her but she didn't notice that Gaston sneaks behind her. It wasn't until she felt her hands being forced behind her back and felt another hand against her throat, squeezing slightly. "KEEP YOUR HANDS OFF MY DAUGHTER!" Phillip ordered Gaston. Gaston loosened his grip on Mal,she quickly gets her hands free and pushes him off her.

Maleficent shot fireballs towards Phillip and he lands a loud thud. "DAD!" Mal screamed while running towards him. "Please wake up, please"Mal pleaded. Mal turned towards Maleficent with anger build in her. Her eyes started to glow in anger. " LEAVE THEM ALONE, IT IS BETWEEN YOU AND ME MALEFICENT. THIS ENDS WITH EITHER ME OR YOU!" Mal yelled while purple smoke started to surround her.

Mal's POV

I felt dragon scales forming on my skin. Suddenly, Purple smoke surrounds me and it disappears to reveal myself transformed into a dragon. I flew up started to shoot fire towards Maleficent. Thankfully all of the villains were caught by the others. Maleficent began to transform into a dragon and started to stand fire towards me. I tried to dodge it but the fireballs landed on my chest. A scream escaped my lips as I felt myself burning inside and transformed back into my human form. I started to fall towards the ground. I knew that it was the last seconds of my life.

Phillip's POV

I woke up and saw my daughter fully transformed into a Dragon. I couldn't just stay here and watch this battle unfold. I knew that my daughter life is at risk. I bolted towards Audrey and took the sword from her. I turned and saw Maleficent shot a fire towards Mal's chest causing her to fall towards the ground but she was successfully caught by Ben. Maleficent landed on the ground and started to crackle again. I raced towards her and pierced the sword through her. I should not have brought the villains back to life. She transformed back into her human form and fell in her puddle of blood. I dashed towards Mal with tears in my eyes I took her from Ben and started to bawl out, "MAL DARLING PLEASE WAKE UP, PLEASE!" Everyone dashed towards us and started to sob more tears. One of my tears landed on Mal which caused her golden glow to surround her. When it disappeared, Mal's eyes fluttered opened and she breathed,"Dad" I hugged her and broke down into happy tears and kissed her forehead. All of us came together and hold close. True love does exist.
