Next day
I woke up early still worried about the little boy in the yellow jacket I never knew him but it was bugging me that he had just disappeared like that it took me forever to find something nice to wear to the Chief of Police office I did my make up and put a nice pair of pants on an a blouse I found my grey rain coat put it on and lastly my boots I walked to the police station since it wasn't too far from the house as the rain was slowly starting to stop as I got half way to the police station I walk in wiping my feet on the mat that said "POLICE" in bold white letters I asked the first officer I saw his name tag read "Powell"

Conversation
Me: "Excuse me mister, Powell. I have an appointment with the Police of Chief. Where do I find her?" I looked at him smiling and being as polite as I could be trying not flirt with him he was every handsome he had dark brown hair golden eyes at least that's what I thought

Powell: "oh yes you must be the one that made the appointment with her yesterday. I'll be glad to take you to Mary's office"

He guided me to her office the door clearly stated Chief in big white letters he popped his head in after he knocked I couldn't hear a word they were saying but he piped his head black out while opening the door all the way

Powell: "her you go miss"

I walked in and smiled and thanked Powell by skipping nodding. Mary motioned me to take a seat while she took a sip of her coffee I took a seat that was right in front of her desk

Mary: she put her cup down " so you called asking to make appointment with me what was it that you wanted to talk to me about miss"

Me: I cleared my throat " well I was insulted by one of your officers for a start. There was a boy that was playing in the rain minding his own business. What seemed to be a man had showed up out of thin air and had touched this little boy. I thought to myself this could be his father but just something told that it wasn't his father that I needed to call the police and make a report. In my report it should say that I saw nothing but a boot as soon as I came back to sit at the window."

Mary: she was trying to hold in her laugh I could tell by the way she was trying not to smile at me " Miss have you ever thought about seeing someone about your problem? There was nothing filed as for my officer that insulted you so you remember his name?"

Me: I looked at her in shock and shook my head no "The officer didn't give me his name"

Mary: "With that being said ma'am I can't help"

I was so upset I went to work and carried on with my day. I soon went home and went to bed.
