What did I ever do for him to look at me that way? Am I really THAT disgusting? Is it because of my tanner skin? I kept on wondering as I sat at the back of the class where I won't attract much attention. But boy, I got it wrong. Guys are whistling at me and some girls look at me friendly, some look jealous and some look like they're gonna kill me. Usually is Jenna and her bitches are the ones that wants to kill me. They can't accept the fact that I'm getting as much attention as them.

I have to clear his misunderstandings of me. Yes, clear it. But my part of me told me that Steve was not liking the idea of me being his mate. But the other part of me says that somethings wrong for him to reject me. Steve is known for being a player when Jenna comes in. She's always trying to catch Steve's attention whenever I'm near.

Brrrriiing! The bell rang and I got up for my seat and waited for Matt at the front door. He got every class with me. So does Steve, Jenna and Lisa. Matt soon came and I told him I got something to do and he'll have to go without me. I walked to where Steve and his wolf friends is. Yes, there's other werewolve's here too including Matt, Lisa, Jenna, Steve and his jerks of a friend. I walked in the class slowly so that I won't get too much attention from them.

"Hey gorgeous. What you doing here?" It wasn't Steve or Nick of course but Joe, his other friend. He's good looking and tan. His eyes is like mine, hazel.

I gave him a small smile and motioned for him to follow to the stairs.

"What you want?" He snaps, annoyed at me. What's with him?

"Can I talk to you?"

"What is it?" He asked again, leaning against the railing of the stairs, crossing his arms. I immidiately felt like I was melting seeing his muscles through his shirt. Wow, nice job, Steve.

I felt uncomfortable suddenly. I breath in slowly and slowly say, "Us". He look at me as if I was sick. I don't understand why is it that with me he's always so cruel as if I betrayed him. I used to think that one day is I find my mate, he'd be like a knight in shining armor but I guess I got it wrong.

"There is never US, Sofia. Never will and never be." He said coldly. "Being my bestfriend hot sister doesn't mean that I'll fall for you like every other guy in this school." He let out a humorless laugh. He was about to walk back to where he came when I said that made him stop on his tracks.

"But we're mates, Steve. How could you?" I said quietly only for him to hear. I was fighting back my tears that are building. He turned to me and looked me straight at the eye. His eyes fill with hatred, betrayal and anger. I was taken aback when I saw him. Does he really hate me that much that even though we're mates he won't accept me?

"NO WAY AM I YOUR MATE, SOFIA! THE SPIRITS MUST HAVE BE BLIND TO PAIR ME WITH SUCH A SLUT LIKE YOU THAT ONLY KNOWS TO SLEEP WITH OTHER GUYS. I WOULD RATHER HAVE JENNA THAN YOU, SLUT! I FEEL REALLY FUCKING SORRY TO THE GUY THAT GOT A SLUTTY MATE LIKE YOU AND HAVE TO BE WITH YOU TILL THE END!" I flinced at every word he said. I felt as if I was being stabbed with silver. Tears are now flowing down my cheek. I don't mind cause I'm not wearing any make-up. "YEAH, CRY ALL YOU WANT, SLUT! I AIN'T GONNA FALL FOR IT!" Those words burn me and I can hear my wolf howling in despair and hurt. I feel as if I'm dieing a little.

I couldn't move from my spot and Steve must have notice it. He walked closer to me. I look up and Steve extended his arm. I thought he was just joking to me so I smiled at him wiping my tears and holding out my hand. But I got it wrong. He pushed me. Unlucky for me cause I stand at the end of the stairs. So it pretty much happen that I felt with a loud thud at the bottom of the stairs hitting head first.
