Vivian was at the steps of Alaric's house. She had been practicing what she would say to him – how she didn't feel right anymore. 'I'm really sorry. No, I can't come in. After what happened, I don't feel comfortable. I don't actually love you, and you were only there to fill a void.'

She had texts from Sebastian and Tyler, telling her everything would be okay. Yet, something didn't seem right. It wasn't just her feelings about Alaric and feelings about her father. There was something wrong. Vivian felt her gut drop and a bunch of weights put on her shoulders.

Vivian rang the doorbell about three times. She knew Alaric was home because his car was in the driveway. However, she didn't know why he was taking so long to answer. Vivian debated whether he was sleeping or not, but Alaric was a light sleeper. He would've been up by the second ring of the bell. She tried the doorbell again.

As soon as she began to turn around, the door opened. A tall brunette girl in an oversized shirt and messy hair was at the doorframe. "Hello?" She asked, a little impatient with Vivian ringing the doorbell multiple times. "Sorry, I don't have money for girl scout cookies."

Vivian ignored the rude comment. "Is Alaric home?" The brunette looked at her and began to smirk. Vivian wanted to believe this was Alaric's sister.

"Babe, who's at the door?"

Nope. Not his sister.

"Just a little girl scout," the brunette replied, keeping her eyes on Vivian. She watched as her facial expressions became sad and mopey. "Kidding, it's that little girl you've been playing with." Vivian froze.

"Vivian?" Alaric asked, putting his shirt back on. He was caught and he knew it. Alaric watched as Vivian stayed like a statue. Vivian's eyes began to fill with tears.

"Thanks for making this easy on me, Alaric," Vivian replied. She kept herself as composed as possible while talking. The brunette smiled, crossed her arms, and went back into the house so Vivian and Alaric and talk. Alaric tried to grab her hand, but Vivian pulled it away from him. "No!" Vivian yelled. "You don't get to do this to me."

"Viv, I'm sorry."

"Sorry my ass, bitch," she said as she slapped him. He rubbed his cheek, and he stared at her in disbelief. Vivian walked away without saying another word. As soon as she got into her car, Alaric closed his door, and Vivian began to sob.

She began to drive. Tears were still in her eyes. Vivian grabbed her phone, beginning to send a text to Tyler, Dylan, Tom, and Sebastian, telling them to meet her at her house in fifteen minutes. She sent the text and locked her phone. The screen lit up because of a text from Alaric, and she cried some more. With her mind clouded, and her judgement in a bad place, Vivian ran a red light and her car was hit by another.
