Morning came too soon as the light filtered in to the window. Emilia blinked a few times to regain her bearings only to discover she was once again alone in her room. Slowly she sat up wincing at the pain that still radiated from her wound. It had lessened to a degree thanks to whatever Nostradamus had given her but it still was a reminder to what had taken place just a few days before. Every time she had fallen asleep she had woken up hoping it has all been a really bad dream. Still, as she lay there she had finally come to the decision to stop feeling sorry for herself. It wouldn't be what her father would have wanted for her. She missed him through and every day she tried to live the life he would have wanted her to. He had always encouraged her friendship with Sebastian and had always encouraged her to take her own destiny into her own hands. So that was just what she was going to do.
Raising herself ever so slightly she slide to the edge of the bed until her feet touched the floor. She flexed her feet as the cold floor made contact and she very gently tried to rise up putting as little weight as possible on her leg. When she gripped the banister of the bed to hold herself up she hissed in pain at a sharp throbbing radiated through her body but she took her first step away from the bed. Slowly inch by inch she made it about two feet and was able to reach a chair. Steading herself by gripping the back of it she gave a sigh of relief and accomplishment. Yes she would be slow going but she would be able to do it. However exhausted at least she was no longer lying in bed which had been proving to be nothing short of boring. She had just turned around and was starting to walk to the window seat that over looked the court yard, when the door to her room was opened. Before she could turn around and face the person, they were at her side rather quickly and she was suddenly scooped up.
"What do you think you are doing?" Bash demanded to know with a hint of anger in his voice. She looked up into his very worried eyes trying to catch her breath as he held her close.
"I was tired of lying around. It is rather boring." This earned her a bit of a smile that was immediately replaced by a more serious look.
"You haven't had time to heal enough to move around too much. I need you to get better, so let's take it easy for a bit." She made a face and laid her head back.
"Fine." She said in a very dramatic voice and raised her head back up to see a full smile on his face. "Just not back in bed. I don't think I can handle that much longer."
"Then where shall we go princess? Outside perhaps?"
"Dressed like this?' She asked glancing down at her white night gown. Bash's face twitched with a mischievous smile.
"And what is wrong with the way you are dressed? I see nothing wrong with it." Emilia felt her face getting flushed and she swatted his arm in retaliation.
"Just put me down. I will be fine." She felt his grip tighten slightly as he was silent for a moment.
"Emilia, look at me." She slowly met his intense gaze. "I know that you think you are fine but it is okay to ask for help."
"I will not be a burden and you can't carry me everywhere." She watched his jaw tighten and his eyes narrow ever so slightly.
"Yes I can and you most defiantly not a burden."
"Bash..." She started to say but he interrupted her.
"So we are going to get you dressed and then yes I am carrying outside. Fresh air will do you some good." He walked her over and placed her on the window seat as he made his way to her clothing. Opening the cupboard door he stood staring at it with his hands on his hips. She couldn't help but giggle he turned to her with a confused look on his face.
"What?" He asked her.
"You have become increasingly interested in my clothing lately. I am trying to figure out why exactly." He actually looked embarrassed for a moment but recovered quickly and walked back over to her. Standing before he bent down and kissed her check, looking into her eyes he spoke.
