Chapter 2

~unbelievable~

I felt his breath on my lips and...

Our lips touched.

It was my first kiss, my first proper kiss anyway, I'm pretty sure kisses from Grandma don't count. But it didn't feel right. It wasn't smooth and heated like how I expected it, instead it was rough and somewhat scratchy...

BEEP BEEP BEEP

I suddenly opened my eyes until 4 white walls came in to focus and light that was seeping through the thin curtains, blinded me making me feel disorientated.

Last thing I remember was kissi-

No.

Unbelievable!!!

It couldn't have been a dream it felt so real! His touches, the burning in my cheeks, th-the kiss! I hung my head in shame and hit my mattress.

Why do I always do this to myself?

It's not the first time I've dreamt about him but whenever I did it always felt way too real to be a dream. The way he would look at me and hold me in his arms never felt like a figment of my imagination, it felt like I could just reach out my hand and touch his soft, pale skin and wrap my arms around him.

BEEP BEEP BEEP

My alarm went off for the second time making me jump and flip out of bed. *shit!* I thought to myself, I can't be late again he'll kill me!
I quickly grabbed a white top I found lying on the floor and pulled on a fresh pair of jeans from my drawers. I ran to the bathroom to clean myself up and slapped on my makeup before rushing out again to check the time.

7:46am

"Ahhh now he's really gonna kill me!" I said out loud as I smashed open my front door and headed straight to the stairs to get out of the apartment block.

I swing open the doors and the cold, harsh air hits me, I tutted as it was too late to go back for a coat.

Whilst looking around for him I rubbed my arms vigorously to keep myself from turning to ice when suddenly a massive force crashed straight into me and a pair of arms instantly flung around me pulling me into a warm embrace.

"You'll catch a cold you idiot" I heard his low voice say as he burrowed his head in the nape of my neck.

"Yah! Ji sung! What do you think you're doing!" I said as I tried to elbow him off me.

"Keeping my baby girl warm" as he said this shivers rolled down my spine and I blushed, luckily he was standing behind me and didn't notice otherwise I would've never heard the end of it.

"I'm not your baby girl" I mimicked.

Ji sung is my friend.

We happened to meet late at night at a convenience store as he lives a couple of blocks down from me. At the time we met I didn't know the language well and some tall, muscular guy with dark untidy hair was harassing me until Ji Sung stepped in.

*FLASHBACK*

It was about 9:37pm and my body clock still hadn't adjusted to my new environment and I didn't feel tired at all. I decided to go for a late night stroll to get a feel for my new neighbourhood. All I saw were dimly lit street lamps and a few drunk people staggering around whilst in the distance you could here horns beeping and taxi drivers shouting.

I began to really miss home. I tilted my head back to look at the sky. It was clear and you could clearly see the stars, I kept staring for a while when suddenly I bright star twinkled.

"Mum?"

"HEY YOU! Yo- you gawt any alcwohol girl?" I heard someone shout from behind.

I didn't even look back to see who they were and sprinted for it.

As I turned a  corner I saw a bright sign that said *convenience store*. Instantly the thought of home and the pain in my lungs vanished as the new thought of food entered my mind.

I started to run as fast as I could towards the door when suddenly I feel a force of impact smack straight into my head making me feel an instance throbbing pain as I begin to lose my footing.

"Hey watch where your going!!" I scream at the man in front of me as he rubbed his head where we had clashed.

Suddenly he started shouting at me with words I didn't understand.

I bowed as an apology and tried to carry on walking into the store but he grabbed my arm and pulled me out again.

"Hey let go of me that hurts!"

"No you little brat!" The guy tightened his grip on my arm cutting off the circulation to my fingers.

My legs were trembling and I felt my whole body begin to shake as I saw him raise his other arm at me.  I tensed and clamped my eyes shut helplessly, knowing what action was coming next.

Suddenly I find my face buried into a warm jacket and I felt blood rushing back to my fingers as my arm was quickly released. My eyes then shot open and I looked up to see that someone had stepped in and had their hand wrapped round the guys fist.
A drop of sweat ran down the guys face as this stranger was much taller than them, and me, and decided to run away.

My head started spinning and I collapsed onto the hard floor.

"Hey, are you ok?!"

I looked up and attached my eyes to my saviour as he leant down to me with an expression of concern. He was a tall guy with beautiful hazel eyes that glistened and a sloped nose just above his succulent lips that were just the right size...

"What's your name?" Can you hear me?" The guy started waving his hand in front of my face as he interrupted my thoughts.

"Mi Jin"

"Huh?" He whispered as he tilted his head in confusion.

"My name is Mi Jin" I repeated.

"Well hi Mi Jin, I'm Ji Sung." He said with a bright smile and his whole face seemed to light up.

He held out his hand and helped me up but my knees still felt weak.

"Here" Ji Sung turned around and had his back facing me.

"What?"

"Get on idiot I'll carry you home, where'd ya live?"

I was about to reject the offer when my legs started to tremble again. I was too shaken to walk. He bent down lower as I slid myself onto his muscular back and pointed in the direction of my apartment block.

"Thank you so much!" I shouted after him whilst waving my hands in the air like a maniac.

"Just ring me if you need me" His voice became quieter as he walked away.

*END OF FLASHBACK*

Ever since that day we've been best friends.
