It was a nice beautiful morning. The sun was shining, the sky was clear of any clouds, and birds were singing, but Zzu didn't take any pleasure from this.

Of course, she would have two years ago, but it was during this time that she had not met Pig1. Now having a companion, albeit platonic, she could not enjoy a moment of her day without being with them.

She figured now was a good time as any to pop into her pet's den and take him on a scouting trip. Scouting trip? Not necessarily for Zzu. See, now Zzu called a walk forty feet away from her house a trip.

Unbelievable, right?

Not to her. Zzu always made sure to keep herself safe, although not every situation called for safety precautions, such as, bolting all the doors in her house with thirty locks each, and yes, including the restroom. And now with her beloved animal, Zzu would walk the extra mile to keep everything under control.

But it was on this wonderful day that Zzu would realize, she needed to step up her game.

After bathing, clothing, and feeding Pig1 and herself, Zzu felt it necessary to hand Pig1 a fifty paged manual book titled 50 Ways To Not Die by Zzu.

The clueless animal tilted its head when he was told, "Make sure you read this book enough times so that you know every word, including the Table of Contents and Dedications, like the back of your hoove, ok?"

The pig didn't process any word the lady in front of him said, of course, and instead flipped the front cover of the book with his hoove, tore up the front page with his mouth, and chewed on it.

Zzu, aggravated with the pig's actions yelled, "You piece of meat, don't you know how much worthy information is on there?"

Counting to ten and telling herself that he was in his most troublesome years, a.k.a the teenage ones, Zzu let out a sigh and pulled out her six inch diameter wide ring filled with keys and wasted five minutes unlocking the front door.

Zzu took her first step outside and as she was going to call Pig1 towards her, she sees a flash of pink and realizes, much to her horror, that Pig1 had run away without her.

Ten feet, fifteen feet, the distance kept increasing and Zzu snapped out of her shock and barreled straight towards her friend.

Spreading her arms, the girl was ready to encapture him, but he was aware of her imminent actions and took a sharp turn to his left.

Zzu, not expecting this, landed face first on to the rough concrete that she had laid down years ago. And as mentioned before, Zzu was always meticulous about protecting herself and when the impact happened, Zzu, in her own exaggerated words, compared it to getting impaled by Vlad the Impaler.

Weird.

Immediately, Zzu was knocked unconscious and re-awoke two hours later. She jumped up and was determined to find her pet. The problem was that she had built her house right in the center of the forest. This meant an unlimited amount of possibilities - Could he have been viciously eaten by an animal or worse, was he lost and scared and wanted to be back in his owner's embrace?

Zzu would find out the answer and without so much of a seconds hesitation she ran to her left and all the while called out for Pig1.

She wasn't sure how much time had passed, but it seemed like hours. The sun never went down, as adjusted to her preference in the settings, but her loud grumbling stomach and aching legs reminded her that time was slipping by.

Faith was starting to drain and Zzu tossed her head down but caught sight of hooveprints. She widened her eyes with excitement and followed the trail fervently.

After sixty nine steps, Zzu catches sight of Pig1 socializing with other pigs. This filled her with pride knowing that her pet was growing up and she thought to herself, 'Maybe the outside isn't as dangerous as I made it out to be.' But during the next minute, a hawk like cry was heard and one of the pigs was swept off the gound, never to be seen again.

Zzu stepped right into action as more cries were heard and grabbed her Pig1 and went into safety.

A day after this incident, Zzu added sixty more locks to her doors and never let Pig1 out of her sight.
