When she got out we all applied make up and walked outside to get our dresses. My dress was a dark crimson colour. It was long and reached the floor as well as flowing out a bit. It was strapless and had a v-cut in the back. Then there was a big dark crimson bow that wrapped around my stomach. I was tall so it looked amazing on me. I was about 5’ 8”. And then I had silver heels; they gave me about another 5 inches. My mask was silver as well and had black designs on it. I walked out from the closet where I changed and looked at Kirsten and Susie, they were both gorgeous. When they saw me though, they both gasped. Kirsten had on an elegant, simple black dress and a golden mask, whereas Susie had on a fiery, tight-fitting, long, orange dress that complemented her fiery red hair and gorgeous hazel eyes. Her mask was a simple white one with little lace designs. I looked in the mirror, I did look amazing. My eyes were at least fifty shades more vibrant and beautiful and my black hair, that was simply curled and pinned back, cascaded over my shoulders and back beautifully.
“The boys are going to meet us down there.” Kirsten said.
“You have a date?” I asked raising my eyebrows, “why have we never heard of him?”
“Of course I have a date, his name is Jake and I like him.” Kirsten exclaimed. I shrugged.
“Ok, are we going to go.” I asked.
“Yeah.”
“Sure.” Both girls said. I looped my arms through theirs and pulled them out of the dorm. We followed the blasting music until we came to a door.
“This is the Grand Hall. It serves as a gathering hall and dance hall. There is a stairway when we enter and we will have to walk down it before we can get into the actual ball. Ok? And we have to go in one at a time so that they won’t recognize us.” Susie almost yells over the music from the other side of the door. I nodded and pushed the door open for Susie, she smoothly walked down the stairs, some people cat calling and staring at her, then Kirsten went and the same happened for her. Butterflies starting to fly in my stomach. Oh my gosh. Nearly the whole school was here. It was very crowded and Susie was right, there was a big staircase before we got into the party. And everyone could see me. I worked up the courage and pushed the doors open and walked through. I felt powerful in this moment. My eyes blazing and scanning through the crowd and trying to find Ty, I couldn’t find him, but I did find someone else. I met a pair and vibrant blue eyes under a black mask. Damin. I quickly looked away; I felt a lot of eyes on me. I heard a few wolf whistles and catcalls. I breathed and started to walk down the stairs. When I finally made it down them I was met wit ha bunch of boys trying to get my attention.
I, being the amazing person I was, pointed them in the direction of the girls sitting on the side and told them to get lost. They listened and picked up some of the very pretty girls there. I walked through the crowd until I was spun into a pair of arms.
“My, you look beautiful tonight.” A silky, deep, sexy voice says. I look behind myself and see Damin; I feel his hands on my hips and immediately pull away and face him.
“I have to go look for my date.” I say coldly, though I actually loved being in his arms and turn going back through the crowd. I finally find Ty, and I’m about to tap him on the shoulder, but he’s dancing with someone. I sigh feeling defeated and depressed. I turned down a guy just to have myself turned down; I guess it was karma. I go and sit on the side.
I feel a presence in front of me, I look up and see Ty, his violet eyes sparkle through his silver and black mask, exactly like mine, and give him a ghostly aura.
“Why aren’t you dancing with your date?” I asked quietly, though it was loud I know he heard me. I drop my head, and he kneels in front of me, lifting me chin.
“Because she’s right here.” He says in his velvety voice.
“But who was that.” I asked confused.
“She was my sister, she asked to come with me because she didn’t have a date. When I said I loved you, I meant it.” He explains. Then I feel a pain of warm lips on mine. I smile and melt into the kiss. I feel something strange stroke my bottom lip and I open my mouth, knowing it’s his tongue. His tongue runs around my mouth, claiming his new territory. He is roughly pulled away. There is Alistair and a girl next to him.
“Excuse me, I only said you could take he out to the formal, not have make out session with her. I may not have known her for long, but she is family and if you hurt her you will get pulled apart limb by limb and then I will let you bleed to a long and painful death and then I’ll ask Hades to torture you in the underworld with all the unworthy people. Am I understood?” Alistair says menacingly.
“Y-yes.” Ty stutters. Alistair smirks.
“Good. By now, luv ya sis.” He says before pulling his date back to the dance floor. A slow song comes on and Ty gets up, holding out his hand. I put my hand in his and he pulls me up leading me off. When we get onto the dance floor he puts his hands on my hips and I loop my arms around his neck and rest my head on his shoulder, just being.
