The first thing the group realized as they entered the cave was the distinct smell of metal. It was overwhelmingly strong.

"What's causing that smell? It's awful," Lizzy's voice was muffled by the scarf wrapped around her nose and mouth.

"Who knows," Jonathan replied.

They kept walking deeper and deeper into the cave. So far they had seen nothing interesting or any small animals living in the cave. Jonathan assumed the smell kept animals from living here.

It started to get darker as they got further away from the entrance. Charles took the bag off his shoulders and got out a flashlight for everyone and stuffed a few batteries in his pockets. He passed them out and Josie started messing around, trying to lighten up the mood.

"Look I can make a rabbit!" Josie exclaimed as she shaped her hands to make the shadow on the wall look like a rabbit.

"It looks like a turkey," Charles exclaimed.

Jonathan looked at her "rabbit" and laughed. He wasn't sure why he found it so funny. Maybe he was laughing be he was nervous and now he felt like there was nothing to be worried about.

"Holy crap Jon, your laugh is amazing," Josie claimed

Bubba scoffed, "How are you just now saying that? His laugh is so unique and you're just now realizing it?"

"I guess I've never really paid attention to how people laugh. Wow, this is a real eye opener," she replied.

"Why are you guys talking about this?" Jonathan sighed.

Lizzy shrugged, "That's just how those two are."

"We're right here," Bubba said.

"I know."

Charles suddenly spoke up, "Guys what's that?"

His flashlight was pointed at something big and shiny. Everyone else shined their lights at the object.

"A door? But why is it just laying against the wall?" Lizzy thought out loud.

Charles moved over to it. The door was completely metal and seemed like it came straight from an insane asylum.

He let his fingers brush against the door and found it to be strangely warm. There were no dents or even a scratch on the metal. It was if someone had just now put it here.

"This is actually fucking creepy," he mumbled.

"Oh, so now you regret coming here?" Bubba claimed

Charles smiled, "Not one bit. This makes it better."

Bubba rolled his eyes even though no one could see it.

The group of friends kept walking through the cave. Conversation broke out making the cave echo with noise. Jonathan stayed silent, yet no one seemed to notice or question him.

Josie gasped, "We need to take a traditional group photo! Put your flashlights around us and I'll use the flash on my phone so we'll be able to see it."

No one disagreed with the idea but rather followed what she said. She grabbed her phone out of her pocket along with a selfie stick.

"How the hell did you fit that in your pocket?" Jonathan asked.

Josie dismissed him with her hand, "I'm magic, bitch. Now get c'mon guys let's take the picture."

She put her phone on the stick and set a small timer on the photo. They all squeezed into frame and she hit the button to take a photo.
