Chapter 9 - Overpowering Strength
I soared towards her, raising my sword and just in time, her sword clanged against mine. Together, we unleashed a bright magic which shined through the cloudy sky.
As our swords met, I looked Mother face to face for the first time in years.
"My oh my....you have grown up so fast, Crystal...", mother spoke with a grin.
"SHUT UP!", I yelled as we both pulled away.
"What is the matter? Aren't you so happy to fight me one on one."
"I don't care anymore! You tore this family apart for your own benefit!," I held my sword tightly, "I'm not letting you get away this time!"
"Fine then!"
We both soared towards each other and started to fight with our swords. Every time our swords clanged, sparks were always made.
Meanwhile, on the ground, Steve and everyone else were continuing to fight the other Hydra soldiers that were left.
When Steve had a chance, he stopped and watched me fight. He felt a little worried, but once he saw my determined face, he smiled and felt happy.
He knew that I will be all right.
Mother tore our family apart for her own benefit. She was the one who separated me from my own sister that I never knew I had.
She broke my father's heart.
She left us behind.
Mother....I can't stand her...
Anger shined in my eyes as my strength increased. Mother noticed as her eyes shot up while she was getting pushed back.
Knowing that she must defeat me, she started to fight harder to match my own strength to make it even.
"IS THAT THE BEST YOU CAN DO, CRYSTAL!!!", mother yelled.
I started to get pushed back and started to struggle.
"No! I can't give up now!"
I continued to fight with mother as everyone finished defeating the Hydra soldiers.
They stopped and looked at me.
In order to talk to them, I attacked mother's sword and pushed myself back.
"CRYSTAL!!!!!!", everyone yelled.
I looked at everyone, "EVERYONE! PROTECT RAINE!!!!!", I yelled.
Raine was still unconscious on the ground as everyone stood around her.
"Crystal...what about--", I cut off Steve's voice and smiled at him, "Trust me.."
He noticed my smile and smiled back, "All right...we will do what you say, ma'am..."
I nodded and looked back at mother with anger.
"Captain, are you sure we shouldn't help her out?", Clint asked.
"I know what's going on," Natasha spoke with a smile.
"You do?"
Natasha smiled at Thor, "Steve is letting her fight her mother. It's what she has to do anyway. It's her destiny to do that. She has her mother's powers...they are compatible in power. If we helped out, we would just be a burden. Crystal is the only one who can defeat her mother."
"That is correct, "Thor added.
Everyone stood around Raine and watched us fight again.
"COME ON CRYSTAL! JUST FIGHTING ME WITH YOUR SWORD WILL NOT BE ENOUGH!!!!", mother yelled.
I did not reply as I focused on fighting her and increasing my power.
I can't let her win....she made me, father, and Raine suffer all these years....
I can't let mother get what she wants.
I can't stand her anymore!!!!
I CAN'T STAND HER ANYMORE!!!
Tears started to stream from my eyes as I continued to fight her and my attacks grew stronger.
"THAT'S NOT GOING TO WORK!!!! I WILL JUST--", mother started to fight stronger to meet my strength but my strength was overpowering hers this time.
THis was my strategy. This was the way where I can awaken my Asgardian powers
I had to increase my strength in order to outmatch her. This was meant for my victory.
"CRYSTAL!!!", mother yelled as I started to attack her with my sword, letting her get hit. My sword started to glow with a bright yellow color.
Mother screamed each time she got hit.
My tears kept on flowing as anger kept shining in my eyes.
Mother finally let go of her sword as it fell to the ground.
"C-CRYSTAL!!!" She yelled as her voice started to grow fainter.
Suddenly, my entire body started to glow bright as I raised my sword for the last time.
"Power of Light: Unleash!"
I moved my sword down as a beam of light was unleashed from my sword, hitting mother and letting her fall slowly.
My glow disappeared as I slowly fell as well, finding myself in Steve's arms.
"CRYSTAL!", Steve yelled as he shook me gently.
"Ha...ha...ha..."
Everyone looked in the sky as Mother was flying unharmed. "Such a useless attack."
I opened my eyes once everyone gasped.
I gasped as well, "No....NO!"
Mother smiled again.
