Im Saeron // 11 years later

"Aren't you somehow going to get rid of those bullies of yours?"

I glanced at a guy next to me and my locker.

"Who are you anyways..?" I questioned.

"Nam JooHyuk. I'm taking over Youngbae today," he replied.

I tilted my head and was going to speak, but he interrupted me. "Aish, don't tilt your head at me. Bad, bad girl."

"W-what?"

"Nothing, bye." He left without saying anything else, but little did he know, I'm also in the same class as him or.. Youngbae, I should say.

I walked to class when the bell rung, seeing him on Youngbae's seat, which was right next to mine.

"It's you again. How come you didn't tell me you had the same class as Youngbae?" he asked.

"B-because I didn't want too.."

"Don't stutter. If you have something to say, don't be nervous to say it. Talk to me like I'm your bully."

"W-why—"

"I said, no stuttering. What's your name— oh, Im Saeron~" he chuckled and scratched his head. "I'm sorry for being like this. I just want you to have a great day, instead of being miserable."

"Why would I be miserable?"

"Youngbae tells me everything, even though he dislikes you. I can't exactly.. find a reason why he dislikes you. " He massaged his temples, while closing his eyes.

I am pretty socially awkward, since I barely have friends to talk to. I don't have anyone to talk to at all, and is always quiet. The only people I mostly talk to are my parents.

"Why are you so quiet?" Joohyuk asked, while sighing.

"Well, I'm usually like this." I smiled. "There's really no one here that I.. talk to."

"I could tell, because you're awkward towards me. Learn how to talk, Saeron. Be annoying like me."

"I.."

"You what? Do you know how to do some aegyo?" Joohyuk asked, while yawning.

"N-no.."

"Woah. Call me oppa."

"O-oppa."

"Don't stutter. Say it confidently."

"Oppa.."

"Confidently."

"Oppa."

"Repeat."

"Oppa."

"Listen. Repeat." He popped his knuckles and turned his body towards me. "Say.. oppa~~!"

I cringed, and knew I would be even more cringeworthy saying that. "Stop."

"You talk like that to me, but not your bullies?"

I looked away and properly sat on my chair, clearing my throat. What? You are two different kinds of people.

"Listen, Saeron, if you ever need my help, I'm here." He turned his body forward and leaned against the chair, crossing his arms.

"I-I know.."

I felt a tap on my shoulder. I turned my head back and looked at Eunji. She whispered in my ear. "Meeting. I have a special gift for you. I recommend you to come."

The girls on the other side of me started laughing. "Mr. Chu isn't going to be here today! We know how to behave like! But I'll be back with a surprise, with the help of my girls and Saeron, of course."

"Yah, Eunji-ah, I'm the Class President, and on this sheet, he told us nothing about any surprises. He just told us to do work. Now sit down, or else you'll get sent to the front office."

"Why would I care? Come on, Saeron. Come on, girls. Let's go have our day!" Eunji pulled me out of the seat and her friends, and I went to the bathroom.

"Awh, looks like little Saeron is having a new friend," Eunji teased, pushing me to the wall.

"Don't you have other friends like us? Why him?"

"If we aren't your friends, we wouldn't be having fun right now."

"Or maybe you don't have any."

They all laughed.

"Listen, Saeron. You shouldn't be messing with guys at this age. You know?" Eunjung grabbed the collar of my uniform and threw me onto the wall once again.

"Saeron, today you're so quiet. It's so boring~"

Eunji was going to touch my hair, but I grabbed her wrist and twisted her arm.

"Yah!" Jidam yelled, while pulling my hair. I yelped a bit, but tried to act like it didn't hurt.

But just by an action of mine, it caused a total crowd, beating me up. My uniform was a mess, my hair was also a mess.

"Fix up, you doll. You're too weak to do anything," Jidam said, while smirking.

"If you attack one, all will attack you," Eunji spoke, while her lips were curving like an idiot.

Soon, they left, and I looked at the bruises on my arms and waist. I fixed my hair and my uniform. I got out of the bathroom, taking a sip of water from the water fountain, acting like nothing happened.

I went back to class, and the Class President was just going to leave also, but he stopped his tracks. "Oh, you weren't coming back to class, and I was going to look for you. But, the front office needs you."

"Oh. Okay.." I got out of the classroom and made my way to the office.

"Hi, what did you guys need me for?" I asked the office lady.

"Mr. Hwang needs you to come to his office."

"Oh, okay. Thanks.."

What? Am I in trouble? From doing what?

I entered Mr. Hwang's office. As soon as I came in, I saw a familiar figure sitting on the chair. I sighed, knowing what was going to happen.

"Sit down, miss. We need to talk," Mr. Hwang demanded.

I sat on the chair next to Eunji, and patiently waited for the huge lecture from Mr. Hwang, since he is the most disliked, loud, and strict staff ever.
