I'm standing behind the counter of the store, ready to help the next costumer.

"If you want to, you can line up here too." i say while starting the scanner.

Most people start walking to me and i start scanning the products.

Hi, my name is Ellie and i work at a local store down town. i lived in Australia for the biggest part of my life and i moved to Canada about four months ago.

As i helped the last customer in my line, i see a cute boy walk into the store.

He is wearing a black snapback, white t shirt and blue denim jeans. his earphones are coming out of the top of his shirt and are just kind of hanging there, just like his shades.

He has a really beautiful shade of green eyes and i can't stop looking at him.

He looks my way and catches me staring. my eyes widen a bit and i quickly send him a warm smile. He smiles back and i gulp.

He walks away, further into the store, and i sigh.

I get away from the scan counter and start unpacking the stuff i had to put in the empty shelves.

I start mumbling my favourite song while doing my work and try to get it all done before the buzzer goes of again.

Suddenly i feel a tap on my shoulder and i turn around.

"Good afternoon." i say automatically with my biggest smile and stare directly into the eyes of the boy i saw a few minutes earlier.

"Hi. you too." he says and smiles at me.

"Can i help you?" i ask him and try to look away from his emerald eyes, but i can't. it feels like they're magnets and mine are a piece of metal.

"Yes actually. i was looking for condoms." he says and i start laughing my nervous awkward laugh.

"They are behind the counter. you have to buy them when you scan the rest of your stuff." i say awkwardly and bite my lip to stop myself from laughing.

"Oh okay. thanks for your help." he says and walks away. then i hear the buzzer go off. i sigh and put the carton box back on the pile of boxes. i walk to the counters and say exactly the same thing i did the first time.

When i'm done i want to close the counter off but someone puts all kinds of stuff on the countertop and i look up. it's the boy.

"Good afternoon sir." i say with a smile and start scanning his stuff. candy, candy, candy and some more candy.

"What happened to the condoms?" i ask him with a smile and he starts laughing.

"I was just kidding. it was for a vine." he says and i look at him with confusion.

"Never mind." he says and i continue the scanning. when i look up again i see him stare at me.

"What?" i ask while raising up my eyebrow a bit.

He doesn't say anything so i wave in front of his face with my hand. he shakes his head and comes back to reality.

"Were you away with the pixies?" i ask him with a laugh and this time he looks at me with confusion.

"What? pixies?" he says and i giggle. his accent is so cute.

"Were you dreaming?" i ask him and he nods.

"What were you dreaming about?" i say while grabbing the last few supplies and scanning them.

"About you." he says and i look at him with wide eyes.
