"Well, shit."

This was only one of the many swears Dolph muttered under his breath as he approached the highschool. The concrete changed to red brick and his swearing only increased. "This is nothing like the middle school," he thought.

The german-american tried to dodge and weave around the older and taller students. There was only one thing he could think: "I'm not prepared for this."

He managed to slip into the school and pressed himself between two lockers. He let out a relieved sigh and pulled out his schedule. A smile crept onto his face when he saw he had art second period. The teen still had a passion for drawing, and had gotten better at it over the years.

"Oh my god, Dolph?" a female voice asked. He glanced up at the speaker and gasped. "Nikki?"

"It is you!" Nikki squealed, pulling him into a hug. "Aw, you've grown so much!" She pulled back and looked him up and down. "Your hair... Your height... Your accent and voice! Damn, puberty did a number on you!"

The freshman laughed and ran a hand through his hair, pulling the black locks down in front of his left eye. "I've been told. Who else is here?"

"Me, Max... I think I saw Space Kid earlier..."

His blue eyes sparked with interest. "Junior's here?"

"Who?"

"Right, no one here calls him that," he reminded himself. "Space Kid. He's here already?"

Before Nikki could answer, someone muttered, "Holy fuck."

Their heads turned towards the voice. Max walked over to them, having to look up slightly at Dolph. "God dammit, the spawn of Hitler is taller than me."

He flinched at the nickname. "Please don't call me that," he mumbled.

The shorter ravenet shrugged. "My bad. Also, here's some advice: Don't stress the first day. It's honestly not as bad as it seems."

The artist tried to add on, but once again, was interrupted. This time around, he was happy about it.

"Dolph!" He recognized the nasally voice instantly and spun around. "Junior!"

His friend tackled him in a hug and he felt the blood rush to his cheeks. He hugged back tightly, savoring the moment. He heard Max snicker but ignored him.

The future astronaut pulled back and smiled up at him. "What classes do you have?" he asked, unfolding his schedule.

"Oh, um..." Dolph pulled his out and covered a certain role with his thumb. "Algebra, Art, English, and History. What about you?"

"Same, except I have Earth Environmental for third," the brunet murmured. "But still! I'm not lonely now!"

He held back a laugh and shoved his schedule in his pocket. "We can also walk to class together. Wanna do that?"

Neil Jr.'s eyes lit up and he nodded, starting to skip down the hallway. Dolph glanced back at Max and Nikki, who just shrugged. He flashed them a smile and jogged after his friend.
