"Stephanie, where are you?," Adam yelled. "I'm fixing the truck!" I was repairing our armored car, which had been damaged during our last sabotage attempt. "Where are my guns? I swear I kept them in the safe!" Adam said. "Already searched the office?" Adam nodded and went upstairs, to the office. He found one pistol. "Where is the rest?" he asked. "Well, they must be at the garage down the street. Maybe we left them in the other truck." Adam nodded, "Already looked there." If the guns were stolen, with our fingerprints on them we are dead. Thomas came in. "Do you know where the guns are?" Adam asked. "Lars took them, he is cleaning them." "Why did nobody tell me that?! For god's sake, I'm the boss here!" Adam said. "Anyway, tell him to return them as soon as possible." He left the room, leaving me and Thomas. "Well, somebody is pissed off." Thomas said. Meanwhile I was fixing the truck again, it took some heavy damage to the chassis. "Isn't it strange that Lars took the guns without permission? He was supposed to help you with the truck." Thomas said. I sighed. “He will probably be here later.” Adam came running in, panicking. "They arrested Lars", he said.
We ran outside, we took the SUV and raced to Lars. He was already gone, Spectre was faster than us. When they saw us they started following us, "Shoot them!" Adam yelled. I grabbed my M9. Luckily not all of the guns were aimed at Lars. I shot at the front window of the Spectre-car. "No, stupid, they are bulletproof, shoot the tires!" Adam yelled. So I did. The car however, didn't stop. Now there were three cars following us. Thomas was already calling for backup; this meant a shootout.
We raced to the edge of the city when our team came in. Our allies took a rocket launcher and they fired directly at the main Spectre-car. It was completely destroyed. We went to cover and opened fire too. Three other vans arrived. The Spectre-commandos came out and opened fire with a heavy machine gun. "We have to go, now!" I screamed at Adam. He agreed: "Where is Thomas?" "He is getting the car!" Marcos said. Marcos is our explosive man, he operates the rocket launcher and C4. Then the SUV came around the corner. Thomas drove through the Spectre-group. Before the commandos got back up, we were gone.
Back at the headquarters, we discussed what just happened. Lars was lost, there was no way we could save him. "We have to save him, maybe not now but we have to." Thomas said. "He is right, if you were arrested you'd want to be rescued too right?" I said. "We could rob the prison transport?" Marcos oppered. "That way we can also recruit some new members for Nemesis."
That wasn't the only reason we had to get Lars back. "If, no, WHEN Lars breaks he'll tell Spectre everything about us!" "Yeah, that's right. But do you really want to risk your lives for Lars?", Adam said. "If we fail to rescue him, there will be no Nemesis." Thomas stood up. "If we aren't prepared to risk our lifes for each other, we can't rely on the credibility of Nemesis." He walked to the door, "If you don't go after him, I will." Marcos joined him. "He's right, if we aren't prepared to help each other then Nemesis is a joke."
From this point it was pretty clear; Nemesis began to fall apart. Adam wasn't prepared to take care of his members. This annoyed the crap out of Thomas, because Nemesis is a very close group. We have to take care of each other.
So whatever happens, we are going to rescue Lars.
Even if that means Death.
