Orbot hummed as he finished a delicate line, he put down his brush and pallet, and floated back a small way. He smiled looking at the portrait he had almost finished.

"Orbot! I need an errand run!" Eggman yelled, Orbot, quickly picking up a rag to wipe paint off of himself, ran off to his Master. Cubot, seeing Orbot gone, floated to the canvas and looked at it, smiling brightly.

"Hehe, look it's me, and Orbbie, and Eggy, and Steve-o-rino, and Mom!" Cubot giggled, he touched the canvas without thought, smudging out part of him and Orbot. He looked at the smudge for a hot minute before it hit him what he had done. "Oh no Orbot's gonna kill me, I'm not supposed to be near his paintings!" Cubot called, he picked up the paint brush, and went to fix it, only messing it up more.

Now he was really panicking. He went to get rid of what he did but he swiped a hand across the canvas and wiped out all but Eggman's face. He went to try and put the paint back and punched a hole in the canvas. He now knocked over the easel, sending Orbot's few paints scattering across the floor. Cubot tried to recover what he could but was covered in paint and the remnants of what had been a painstakingly crafted portrait. Cubot started to tear up.

Getting an idea he rushed to the main living area of the lair.

"BOSS!" He yelled, scooting in, leaving trail of paint behind him. Eggman looked over from his tea with Mombot and Steve.

"Cubot I told you to leave me along this afternoon and look at the mess you made!" Eggman called, standing from the table to go scold the robot, Mombot stood.

"Eggman don't yell at him, look it he's crying!" She snapped, she rushed to Cubot. "What happened deary?" She asked.

"Orbot was painting and I'm not allowed near and when he left I went to look at it and I smudged it and I tried to fix it and I made it worse!" Cubot sobbed out. "I need Eggman to dismantle me so that Orbot knows I didn't ruin it!" Cubot added, thinking he had a good idea.

"Oh honey that won't solve anything." Mombot gently patted the side of his face. "Now what all did you ruin I'm sure you can replace it all, I'll even help." Mombot said sweetly.

"Well, his painting, his canvas', his paints, his easel, his brushes-" Cubot listed.

"Whoa, you're dead." Eggman exclaimed.

"I know that's why I'm freaking out!" Cubot retorted, Steve laughed.

"Well, little dude, you could always apologize, but your boyfriend might be a bit saltier than normal with you for a while." Steve said quickly.

"I can't apologize, I'm not supposed to touch his painting stuff, and I ruined it all. I can't take that kind of blow from him, that's why I'm trying to cover it up!" Cubot scratch the back of his head. "I feel kinda bad, it was a really good painting, and he spent kinda a long time on it." Cubot sighed.

"Kinda along time! Kinda good! It was my magnum Opus! I spent a month on that stupid mustache!" Orbot yelled, they all turned to were he was at the door, bags from his errands dropped next to him. He teared up and rushed away. "I hate you all!"

Cubot went to follow him, but Mombot stopped him. "Give him a little time, anyways, we have to fix this mess."

Orbot looked at the mess, and sighed. He tried to find anything to salvage, but came up blank after hours of trying to clean or repair anything he thought could be. He curled into his ball form and cried a little bit for another long while. So much time spent looking for and saving the coins he found scattered around, so much work he wanted to do. The work he had done.

All gone.

"Orbot!" Eggman yelled. "Get in here I have a job only you can do!" Eggman added.

"Time to go clean the paint that scrap iron got everywhere." Orbot growled as he unfurled. He slowly made his way to the main living area.

However, Orbot found that the paint was already cleaned. He poked into the living area, and saw Cubot standing next to a covered object, and Eggman, Steve, and Mombot all sitting on the couch together. Orbot started to go to Eggman.

"Orbbie!" Cubot called, Orbot shot a glare to Cubot. But Eggman gestured him to go to Cubot. "Rbot, I'm sorry I ruin all of your painting stuff, and that painting. I thought It was really good and I smudged me, and I tried to fix it and-"

"Just get on with the point you buffon." Orbot cut in, he wiped a small bit of paint off Cubots face with his thumb.

"Well, I gave up all of my allowance for the next year to get you this." Cubot pulled off the cover, revealing paints, canvas', an easel, and brushes. Orbot brought his hands to his law and gasped.

"Cubot!" he squealed, he hugged Cubot, and pushed his head onto Cubots, a ding ringing out from the sudden contact. "Oh Cubot you didn't have to." Orbot said a few tears perking up. Cubot wiped them away gently.

"Only the best for you, Babe." Cubot said sweetly.

"Now Orbot, sweety, I heard that you were making a lovely painting of the family. Well, we are here to help you make it!" Mombot called, Cubot scooted over to the others, and sat on the floor in front of the couch. Orbot smiled and started to buzz happily.

"Well I'll just need to set up and-" Orbot choke a little bit on his words as he cried softly. He sprinted over and hugged his 'family' then went back to his new supplies, happy to start again on the family portrait. After a few hours, he finally took a step back. Then plucked the painting from the esel.

The other gasped as he turned it around towards them. "It's not my best work, the original was much better." Orbot said quickly. They all gathered.

"It's perfect sweety!" Mombot called.

"You got my mustache in all its glory!" Eggman called.

"And my beautiful locs on point." Steve added.

"You even painted yourself in, and we're holding hands!" Cubot gushed, Orbot blushed a little and smiled.

"You're all," Orbot gulped. "The best I could have ever asked for, thank you."

"No, Orbot, your the best I could have built. Now get this crap out of here and get cleaned up." Eggman shot. Orbot looked up to him and lazily silluted.

"Of course, Doctor Eggman." Orbot called, he rushed to do as told.
