Chapter 1

First day back at school and luckily Emma had most of her favourite lessons. Science, Drama, Music, Geography and Art. She walked into Science and stood at the back where everyone else was. They were making a seating plan and there was a new boy in the class. 'Cute (ew 🤢) and dorky are my two. words to describe him' Thought Emma .she Wondered what his name is... "Jake , you will sit over at the far end, Emma , you will sit next to him." At the teachers words Jake stepped forward, walked to the back of the class and sat down. She followed him and quickly sat next to him and grabbed her book out of her bag.

"Hey." Said Jake. Emma looked up from her book and looked at him.

"Hey," She replied. "Im Emma."

"Nice name! My names Jake." He smiled a really cute half smile (SMH 😂🤢) The teacher began talking and then handed out microscopes. Emma and Jake automatically began working. He passed her a pen to write down some notes and their hands brushed against each other's and she looked up into his gentle eyes and felt her heart flutter. He smiled again and let go of the pen. She wrote some stuff in her book and then changed slides and stared into the eyepiece. She looked at it again, smiled and wrote it in her book. Jake took a glance and wrote some notes down. "Finished? He asked, watching her put her pen lid on and looked up.

"Yep."She said happily. They exchanged a smile and began to pack up.

"So what set are you in?" Jake asked while they put the stuff away.

"Set one, why?"She smiled.

"Me too! I was just wondering." He smiled.

"So do you wanna walk together?" He asked, not looking up.

"Oh ok." And with that they walked out.
