Chapter 1

Maggie's Pov

So it's finally Summer which is good in all, but I just found out from my bestie Mahogany that a new kid will be in here next year. I kind of am excited to see if the new kid will be a boy or a girl. Today is July 1st which is good, but it's the last full month of summer break then we go back to school on August 15th. Today I think Mahogany and I are going swimming at beach Galveston, but right now it's kind of rainy outside. It's 9:45 am why am I awake right now? I still should be sleeping, but once I'm awake for a long time I can't fall back to sleep unfortunately. My phone was laying on my bed right next too me when I heard it buzz. I picked up my phone and it was a Instagram notification. I opened Instagram and once I read the notification I froze. 'Brad Simpson just added to his story.'

I clicked on it and watched Brad. He was packing up his room, then he said "Moving to Texas next week"

I froze for the second time. Then I remembered something, the new kid. Could the new kid be Brad? Coming to the same high school I'm going to? Then Brad said something else on his story that caught my eye. "See you soon Dallas Texas"

That's it Brad Simpson is going to be the new kid at MY high school. My heart filled with Joy. Brad and I were best friends when we were little and until I was 13 then I moved back here to Texas and Brad was left without a best friend.. I locked my phone and layed back on my bed. 

Brad's Pov

I just put on my Instagram story that I am moving to Dallas, Texas next week and I couldn't help, but notice that Maggie watched my story twice. Just thinking about seeing Maggie after two years put a smile on my face. I wonder if she has a boyfriend? Or if she still feels the same way I feel about her.
