Vanessa

I woke up this morning at 7:00 to my alarm, like I always do on Sundays. I rolled out of my covers and went out to the living room of my apartment. I went to the window and opened the curtains. The sun shinned through and I felt warm inside. I did as I did every Sunday morning.

I took a quick shower, ate breakfast with a cup o tea. I Watched the news for about 30 minutes before getting dressed and grabbed my keys and -, hold up. My keys. I can't find my keys. Well they couldn't have gone far.

I checked the kitchen, searching every inch in the marble counter top. Nothing. I checked the bathroom. Nothing. I checked my bedroom. Not a key in sight. I searched every spot of my apartment and no keys. I decided I should check my car. I don't leave my keys in my car usually, but I wouldn't be surprised if I did.

I walked out my door to my car which was right in front of my apartment. I looked through the driver side window and sure enough, my keys were in there. But, when I tried opening the car it wouldn't budge. Well if only I had my keys I thought to myself staring at the keys sitting in the cup holder of my car.

At this point there was only one way to solve my problem. I needed the sheriff. I've never had to call them for anything, let alone for locking myself out of my own car. I went inside and found the sheriff's number in the phone book and dialed, listening to the phone ring.

Rodney

I woke up at 8:30 or so to the office phone. I sat up and looked around and saw no one else in the room. Then I remembered it was Sunday so I was the only one in today. I picked up the phone.

"This is Officer Dean of the sheriff's department, how may I help you?"

"Yes, hello. I have gotten myself into a little trouble. I seemed to have locked myself out of my car." A sweet voice said on the line. I hadn't recognized that voice, and I've spoken to many citizens since I started here a year ago.

"Okay." I said getting out a piece of paper and a pen. "Can I have you're name and address?" I asked.

"My name is Vanessa Russel and I live on 5524 Waffle street."

"Okay. I'll be there in a jiffy." I hung up and got on the road.

When I got there I saw the woman standing by a small, tan flatbed truck. She was very beautiful. She had on a green floral dress that went just past her knees and tan tights with black flats on. Her hair was up in a bun. I could see that the ends of it was blue, like she was letting the color grow out from dyeing it awhile ago. I could tell she was heading to church that morning.

I parked my car and walked over to her.

Vanessa

When the sheriff showed up he parked his car in the far side lot and walked over. To be honest he looked pretty good. I know lots of people say every cop in uniform looks good, but this was better. Under his hat I could see some of his curls poking out.

As he walked over he had a great big grin on his face. Thats what I liked most. I couldnt hold back a smile myself.

"I assume that you are the one who called." The man said taking off his cap.

"Yes, sir." I forgot my keys in my car and the doors automatically locked.

"Okay. I got this under control." He said.

Rodney

I honestly had no idea what to do. There was no special way to unlock is, just with a wooden wedge and a clothes hanger.

"Let me get my tools out of my car." I told the lady, or Vanessa I guess was her name. I didn't want to let her down. I got to my car and opened up my trunk. To my luck there was everything I needed. I grabbed them both and shut the trunk. I walked back over with them in my arms. I put the wedge very carefully into the window and opened it slightly, just enough to put the wire through and get her keys out. The whole time I was doing this I was thinking of how I could get this chick's number. When I gave her the keys it came to me.

I pulled out my ticket pad and the pen that was in my shirt. She looked very concerned when I did. She kept quiet though. I tore it off and gave it to her.

"Have a nice dad, ma'am." I said tipping my hat and walking back to my car.

Vanessa

He tore off the ticket sheet, tipped his hat and was off. I thought it was strange. I had no idea that I got a ticket for get locked out of my car. I was so shocked I couldn't get out a 'thank you'. I looked down at the ticket. The thing was it didn't look like any of the tickets I've ever seen.

917-555-2424. Have a great day, Princess

That's all it said. I knew that wasn't the office number either, because it wasn't the same one I dialed before. I then realized that it had to have his number. His personal phone number. he pulled out and his side of the car was facing me. We made eye contact. I liked his eyes. They were far away, but they were nice. before he drove off I saw him wink at me. That made me smile. I looked down at my watch and saw I was late for service. I quickly got in and drove off.
