Flames POV
"Your never there to protect them!" My mom growled. She curled her tail around me and my sister while she glanced angrily at my dad. "You always ran away and avoided us to be with your pack" she growled. "Well maybe I will go be with my pack" my dad said stalling off his tail curled in anger as he left me, my mom, and my sister. I flattened my ears to my head as I heard my mom crying. "Mom what's wrong" I asked tilting my head. "Nothing g-go to sleep my son" she said as she curled up around me and my sister. I soon drifted off into a deep sleep.
I awoke to my sister screaming and the sound of snarling. I jolted awake to see my mom being attacked by a angry mutt.
Flames mom's POV
I scratched the mutts ear. It leaped at me teeth bared. I bit it on the ear snarling but it was too fast. It dodged my attack and bit my neck drawling blood. I winced in pain but thought of my pups so I fought back tearing off its ear. The mutt looked hurt but tightened the grip on my neck. My eyes soon went into a dull haze as I knew I was near the end of my life. The mutt loosened the grip on my neck and ran off. My kids ran up to me tears in their eyes. "Please be ok mom u gotta protect us..." Marigold said as tears streamed down her face. "Shhh my darling Flame will be there to protect you and you will be safe" I said as I wiped her tears away. Flame walked up to me whimpering. I looked at flame. "Flame promise me you will stay away from the mutts and protect your sister" I barked softly. "I will but won't you be there to protect us?" He asked. "No my darling, I got to go now please keep your promise" I whimpered weakly. "I will but where are u going?" He asked. "Little one I will be going to the cave of souls where all the souls that don't live anymore go to" I replied. "Can we come" marigold asked. "No little one I have to go alone, goodbye" I barked as my eyes went into a lifeless haze.
No ones POV
"NOOOOOO" Marigold howled. Flame joined the howl staying by Their mothers side.
