Luna POV.

Ever since I was a child, I've been able to see a red thread around others fingers. There's one around mother, father, and all my older siblings, yet.. Not mine. I'm different. I'm the only one in the entire world without this thread. People call this, 'The Red Thread Of Fate' and it's said to lead you to your destined lover, yet.. I don't have one. Was I meant to not have a lover? Sure, seeing everyone happy with their lovers is adorable, but it's so sad seeing them together. I have never met another human without the thread.

BEEP! BEEP! BEE- SLAM.

Oh great. It's my first day at this shitty high school. Forcing my eyes open, I glance around my galaxy-like room. I've been here for 10 years, and yet this sight still takes my breath away. I sit up, and brush my long brown locks away from my face, glancing at the mirror. Getting up, I turn fully to the body mirror and stare at myself. I had an hourglass like body shape, and was quite short, with long brown locks reaching down to my upper thighs. My blue eyes shone in the dimmed room, as I pick up the uniform that was laid out for me. A white, button up blouse with a short skirt. Too short, for my liking. Grimacing, I put on the uniform and sigh, putting on some thigh-highs and my shoes. I didn't like the uniform.. Yet I had to wear this. My thoughts were knocked out when a knock was sounded on my door.

"Miss Alicein? Are you up? Breakfast is ready, young lady."

Anna.. My personal maid. Yes. My family is quite rich, and it's something I don't like to boast about. I don't really like talking about my family, but it's not like they're evil or mean. They're quite nice to others, indoors and outdoors. I know that my family want what's best for me, but I have a voice of my own. Glancing at the time, I still have half an hour before I have to leave. That's enough time for me to have breakfast.

"Um.. Miss Alicein?"

"O-Oh, um, yes. I will be there in five minutes."

I blushed in embarrassment, as I walked to the dinning room. Ashlee and Adrien were already there, as they looked up from their food and smiled.

"Luna! You look so cute!!"

"It looks good on you, little sis."

I blush, but nod regardless. Both of them are twins, with platinum blond hair and green eyes. Both look like our father, while I look like our mother. I sit down, as Anna can back with my breakfast. Cereal, with some jam on toast. I thank the older female and begin eating. After about 15 minutes, I get up and say goodbye to Adrien and Ashlee. As I walk out the door, I grab my long black cloak from the coat hanger and put it on, as Anna passes me my bag.

"Stay Safe, Miss Alicein!"

"Thank you, Anna."

Finally walking out of the two story house, I walk down the street and take in the sights. Yes, I don't go out as often as I used to as a child, as I have been getting more and more scared of people, as I used to think people judged me for not having that string. Glancing down at my right hand, I sigh in disappointment. No string. No lover. As I finally arrived at the school, I silently gasp at the size. I've been homeschooled most of my life, and this is the first time going to a public school.

"You're new here, aren't you?"

I turn to the voice. My breath gets caught in my throats at I stared at the male in front of me. He was a lot taller than me, and had short brown hair, with kind brown eyes. But the thing that got me was his hand. Stringless. Like me. He must've caught me staring at his hand, because he laughed.
