I sat nervously in the corner furthest away from anyone else, my leg bouncing and my grip on the handle of my bag almost white knuckled. My cousin was supposed to be here ten minutes ago, but she was late just like I always remember her being. I pursed my lips as I leaned my head back against the booth I was sat in, humming slightly to myself.

It wasn't until I heard a rather fast paced clicking that I finally turned my head to the side slightly and saw my cousin. I rolled my eyes and stood up to greet her, smiling awkwardly as I wrapped my arms around her in a hug.

"Hey!" She greeted excitedly, smiling brightly
"Hello to you to," I smiled kindly "You're late, again."

I watched as Penny pulled away, hew blond hair tickling my neck and her arms unwinding themselves from my back. I giggled to myself as she started rambling, before just clasping my hand over her mouth and raising my eyebrows.

"Dude, chill," I assured her, pulling my hand away with a gasp when I felt something west glide axross my fingers "Pennnyyy! Did you seriously just? Ew! Why would you? Penny!"

Penny laughed when I pulled my hand away and whiped it on my black skirt. I playfully glared at my cousin as I grabbed my bags, eventually turning to the short guy with curly hair and glasses next to her. He looked socially awkward and smart, and I had to smile.

"You must be Leonard, Penny has told me all about you and your geeky little group," I smiled "I'm Kelly, Penny's cousin, from Australia."

I pulled my hand from my suitcase and gavve Leonard's hand a shake. He seemed surprised at how firm it was, making me smile slightly. When I pulled away I slipped my backpack onto my left shoulder, slung my messenger back over my right, and gripped my suitcase in my right hand.

"Yeah, Penny's told us all about you," Leonard "Sheldon's not so happy about you coming to stay."

I laughed ever so slightly as we walked out of the airport and to the car. When we got there Penny popped the boot and I put my bags in there. When I sat in the car I closed the door and buckled up, just in case Penny still drove like she did the last time I saw her. I was pleasantly surprised, however, when Leonard got in the driver's seat instead. Once we were on the road I leaned my head back against the seat and closed my eyes.

When we stopped snd I opened my eyes I noticed that we were at an apartment complex. I slid out of the car, collected my bags, and followed Penny and Leonard up the stairs.
