Jon
Ghost was calm on the way to The Wall. Usually when ghost was as quiet as he was now. something was wrong. It was orientation day so the campus was packed.
"Okay, Jon Targaryen?" A... well, a midget asks. Is that the right term? Midget? Dwarf? Little person? "Yes, I'm dwarf. Let's move on. My name is Tyrion Lannister I just graduated but I can't leave until I show you around. So be quiet and listen." He says.
"Lannister? My family is living with yours."
"The Starks you mean? Your uncle. I've got to say I'm surprised. A dragon surrounded by snow and wolves isn't really common." He comments. This is what he was expecting. His last name has been what people care about his entire life. Jon Aegon Stark-Targaryen.
"Let me give you some advice Targaryen. Don't forget what you are. The world will not, wear it like armour and no one can use it to hurt you." Tyrion showed him around the campus including the strip clubs and best bars before taking him to his room. As soon as the door was in sight the Lannister ditched and mentioned going south because the strippers are better there.
Jon opens the door and a fat guy had filled his half of the dorm room with books.
"Hi. I'm um Samwell Tarly. You can call me Sam. My mother calls me Sam." He stammers awkwardly.
"I'm Jon. Jon Snow." Jon lies. This is where he'll be starting fresh. No Stark, no Aegon or Targaryen. Just Jon Snow. A nobody from the north.
"It's a pleasure. Oh you have a dog. I mean i like dogs. Normally more of a cat person. Actually no, I'm allergic to cats. I had a goldfish once. But it died. I overfed it." So Jons roommate was a socially awkward nerd. At least he wasn't likely to bring girls back to the dorm all the time.
"This is ghost. He's really good but a bit protective." Jon says and signals to Ghost Sam wasn't a threat. The husky walks over to Sam and puts his head down waiting for a pat. Sam obliges and grins.
"so what are you studying. I'm torn between medicine and history." Sam asks continuing to pat Ghost.
"Not sure yet. Probably law."
"Law is good. My fathers a lawyer. He's a bit corrupt though. Usually getting criminals out of jail. I'm sure you won't be corrupt of course. You seem nice." Jon laughs and starts unpacking his things. The last thing he got out was Snow.
"Do you play guitar?"
"Yeah. For fun."
"I learnt bass. My dad got mad at me. Thought I was being pathetic." Samwell comments.
"My sister plays bass. She can sing too." Jon says.
"You have a sister?"
"adopted sister. She's actually my Cousin. And I have two. Two sisters and three brothers."
"I have a brother. Younger his name is Dickon. Only thing I have to tease him with. He's tall and fit and handsome. A bit dumb but still smart enough to go to Harvard next year." Sam starts mumbling.
"I've got a brother like that. His name is Robb. Perfect son. Do you want to go get a drink? I heard that everyone will be at a bar called The Fist of the first men today."
"Sure. I can't drink but I'll come with." He says and Jon smiles before grabbing his wallet and phone. First day before classes starts. He was going to have fun.
The fist of the first men was packed. It was owned by a man named Mance Rayder who Jon met in the first five minutes. He was playing bear pong with a big ginger guy named Tormund who had to leave so Mance Rayder pulled Jon in to replace him. About five minutes later a guitar starts playing a song he didn't know.
