"Hey guys" I said as I neared our seats at the end of the aisle.

"Hey" Chris, Nick and Yianni said in unison.

We put our carry-on bags in the compartment above us and sat down. I went to sit beside Sophie when Nick got up and asked if we could switch seats, I nodded and sat down between Yianni and Chris.

We began to talk about the usual stuff- school, music etc. Turns out that they had all met at Greek school when they were seven and been best friends ever since. They were also sixteen just like us. I wanted to find out if I was right about the soccer photo with Yianni so I asked him.

"Yianni, did you play in a soccer league when you were younger?" I asked.

"Yea, I played in the Olympic league. Why do you ask?" he said.

"Well you looked kind of familiar and I think we've played on the same team before." I said smiling.

"So, that's where I've seen you before" he said.

I awoke to the smell of Hollister cologne. I must have dozed off listening to my iPod with Chris. I sat up and realized everyone was asleep. Yianni was snoring softly with his arms crossed and Sophie was leaning on Nick.

"Hey, look who finally woke up" Chris whispered in my ear.

"Hahaa, I thought you were asleep" I said quietly.

"I was awake before, but I didn't want to get up" he said smiling.

"Why not?" I asked.

"You were sleeping on my shoulder and I would have felt bad waking you" he said.

"Oh, thanks" I said now blushing.

The captain announced that we would be landing soon and everyone woke up. We talked for a bit until we landed then we grabbed our carry-on bags and walked off.

The airport was lined with shops and vendors; I was tempted to start shopping. We made our way to the baggage area and collected our things. I remembered that we were supposed to look for a sign that advertised the camp to find our ride. We were wandering the airport until Nick pointed out an older woman holding a giant sign.

"How did we miss that?" I asked.

"Maybe you were too busy admiring my hotness Eleni" Chris asked winking.

"You know it" I said laughing.

We piled into the bus for counsellors and began the drive through Athens. It took an hour and a half to get to the campground in Tripoli, Greece.

When we got there our boss and the organizer of the camp made an announcement.

"Hello, everyone my name is Toula and I'm the organizer of the camp and I know you guys are tired so I will try not to take long. I'm very excited to say we have a much bigger turn out this year than last year. I hope you all have a great time! Kids your cabins are right behind me so feel free to go settle in." she said. The kids ran off and Toula continued her speech.

"Counsellors, every morning you will report here at 6:45 a.m. to see what you'll be doing that day. Since today is Saturday your first day of work is Monday. Enjoy the rest of your weekend. Your cabins are just above that hill" she said as she gestured to a higher area above the cabins.

Sophie and I said bye to the guys and promised to hang out soon. We entered our cabin and saw two other girls already in there.

"Hey guys" Alexandra said coming towards Sophie and I to hug us. We had met her at Greek school when we were nine.

"Penny!" I screamed and ran over to hug our other cabin mate. Penny and I had been neighbours until she moved about three years ago.

After catching up with Penny and Alexandra, Sophie and I decided to put some of our stuff away. The room was a moderate size and had

two sets of double bunk beds. The walls were painted a light blue and there were two dressers and two closets. The view from the window was amazing; you could see some of the villages and beaches that surrounded the city.

I looked at my watch and saw that it 10:00 p.m. My phone vibrated and I had gotten a text from Chris.

"Hey (: want to hang out?" - Chris

"Hi :D Sorry but I'm really tired tomorrow for sure!"- Eleni

"Okay, Good night <3 <3" - Chris

"Ouu, someone's got a boyfriend" Sophie said as she winked numerous times.

"I do not" I said blushing a little.

I didn't want to admit that I was falling for him a bit even though I had just met him so I climbed to my top bunk and went to sleep.
