November 2nd
2:20pm
JFK, New York

It wasn't often Liv signed up to see a stranger, it wasn't often she would push herself so far out of her comfort zone either. But the person wasn't just a person, it was Daniel. Someone who didn't seem much like a stranger to her anymore.

If she knew she'd have the chance again in a few weeks to see him, she would have passed on it- it would have been "too soon" or she could have made up some real hard assignment that was due this week.

But she had no idea when this chance would come again, when Daniel would be in New York next, when she would get a chance to actually see the man in person.

She couldn't say no, she wanted to meet the boy, to hug him, to see the person who had given her so much strength over the last three weeks.

Liv had lived most of her life with only one person, her best friend(more like brother), Charlie. The one person who had been there for her through thick and thin, cared for her when she couldn't care for herself- she had never had that before.

After the car accident she stopped letting people in, she stopped caring for anyone who wasn't Charlie, she let the world fade away.

Even to this day, although her emotional stability had improved immensely since she was 15- the girl still wasn't a fan of letting people in, of letting people care for her and returning that care to others.

But she liked Daniel, she liked talking to him, she liked hearing about his day, his travels, his thoughts and even his struggles.

She would go as far as to say she cares deeply for him.

Although it had only been three weeks she could tell you that with an absolute certainty. Because that was Liv for you, when she actually let you in, she loved too deeply and too fast, if you became important to her there's nothing she wouldn't do for you, there's no problem she wouldn't try to fix for you.

Daniel was important to her.

When the Uber pulled up to JFK, she had ten minutes to find Daniels terminal and try her absolute best not to shit herself as she waited for him.

She was nervous, she was excited, she was hopeful.

"Thank you" she mumbled as she opened the car door and quickly slid out of her seat. She stood on the pavement for a few seconds, staring at the mostly glass building that completely towered over her. Taking a deep breath and smiling to herself she brought her eyes back to eye level and started walking towards the door.

To strangers, teachers, roommates and even family members- Liv was very introverted. She was quite, shy, very to herself, headphones in all the time, normally a book in her hand, definitely not a party person (although Charlie had dragged her to more than one).

But to Charlie and even Daniel Liv was more extroverted. She'd make jokes, laughed loudly, was silly, even did a horrible dance to make them laugh. In Daniels case all of that came through over text or the one face time call they had.

Liv could be herself around them, she felt safe with them.

"Excuse me, could you tell me what terminal the flight from Washington lands in?" Liv asked an older lady after minutes if searching and getting lost.

"See that hall there? Keep walking down until you see Terminal 57- there should be a sign with a few different flights and Washington should be one of them" The older woman smiled at her as she pointed to the hallway to her left.

"Meeting your boyfriend? We get a lot of those" she added before Liv could turn away from her.

"No, just a friend" she said, a large blush sweeping her cheeks as the back of her neck went warm.

"Well you have fun love, there should be more people like me closer to the terminal you're looking for"

"Thank you ma'am"

When liv got to the proper place, it was packed. There had to be at least 30 people waiting and she was starting to feel a little caged in, she could feel her stomach tighten as she breathing became heavier.

But one voice changed all of that.

"Liv!"

Olivia snapped her head up as her eyes were met with the most beautiful blue ones she had ever seen.

The eyes that belonged to Daniel Seavey.
