Let's make a movie called hayat jamila
Where 300 meets Red Dawn meets X-Men
Where people all of a sudden these terrorists
who lack anything that humans have
no face, no words, no color, no feelings
attack a people's homeland
Where a woman in a hijab with this big ass sword
comes in and saves this boy from gunfire
And these kids humiliate the antagonists
by pulling their pants down and making them dance
Where badass muslims with superpowers fight off terrorists
trying to invade their home
But these terrorists can't be muslim
and they can't have beards or wear bandannas
and Islam can't be made as the backbone
of the main antagonist's reasons
Instead let Islam be the reason
for these people to protect their homes
from this ugly invasion of people
who mean to do only harm and evoke fear
And no, these people cannot be painted
as some singular color
as one brown on a white canvas
Let this film show how different these people are
in culture, clothes, food and livelihood
but same in their goal
and that goal is simply life
living as beautifully as possible
I want to see all of these different people
who are so often antagonized by Bellisario
and other people of the same
And pushed under one name
doing what they need to do
to just fight off these terrorists
and protect the children's infinite wish
of all the dreams possible, pulsing, & right there.
